Dear Jane, please do not apologize for the last video. I for one was absolutely happy with it, all the pictures at the end where one could compare them and the few i wanted to see right away i looked at simply pausing the video and looking at them in another browser tab. But then I watched it twice, first without peeking and then with stop and go. Again: I loved everything about it and even I who never uploaded anything here and never edited a video know it´s a lot of work. Also, sticking to a list is never spontaneous and that was what gave the video it´s spark and life and fun. So please, don´t draw lines and construct walls and cages by making a list to stick to. Thank you. Maybe someone feels like I do and likes this comment?
Thank you so much. I had so many comments about it and I do want people to enjoy the watch so I will work out a way to add in pictures without affecting the flow. Don’t worry nothing will stop us just chatting 😂😂
@@thecornishknittermarvellous thank you so much! It is so much fun to follow your interaction and how things bounce between you, one feels the friendship and undestanding between you. You are so lucky to have that, and we are lucky to be part of it.
Just a thought, you may find that Dan of The Bakery Bears podcast may have done a tutorial on placing photos in a main screen. A friend of mine came on your retreat lately and really enjoyed herself!
Jane I have watched you since your first video and you are so much fun to watch. So please keep posting your UTube videos for people like us who enjoy watching your knitting and crochet content for sure, but also your amazing pictures of Cornwall. Hope to join one of your retreats in the new future. Thank you.
Thank you so much! And do sign up your interest on our website as you will get earlier notification of upcoming retreats for 2025 if you would like to know about them first. 😊
Jane, Congratulations to you on International Women's Day! I'm happy to have found your TH-cam channel and always enjoy seeing what you are working on. I just finished a pair of green socks for St Patrick's Day (Cascade Yarns Pacific color 63). I just need to block them. Keep up the great work!
Thank you so much! I am a green devotee so anything green is good as far as I am concerned! Must be my Irish heritage (my grandad originated from there and my maiden name is Leary. ☺️
Thanks for another fab video. Please be kinder to yourself about the editing! You are doing an amazing job and the videos are charming with a lot of heart x
Hi Jane. Thank you for your lovely video. ❤ I just love listening to what's on your needles, and what you have finished and the latest regarding your local yarn growers and dyers etc. Even that's enough for me. With running a business, I don't know how you find time to do the extras etc. Anyway, your lovely clips are very much appreciated 🙏🏻 (Rose, NSW, Australia)🌹
@@thecornishknitter You're very welcome. 🥰 As I said before, at the end of the day, we have to think of ourselves, especially at our age. I think most of us crafters are in awe of people like you and others, who create great blogs and podcasts etc. Take me for instance, the techno and the mental gymnastics producing a video, would be too much for me, not to mention the time involved and planning. So take care....and remember... all your earlier videos, even without the 'KALs' etc were just as lovely. Lots of love. xx
Thank you Jane for a lovely podcast , I really enjoy being with you .i loved the colours of the new yarns you showed us from Yarnyoctopus , the blues are fabulous, thank you
Thank you Jane for another lovely episode 🥰 The retreat sounds absolutely wonderful! Only wished I lived a little bit closer, so I’d be able to join xxx
Nice to catch up with you Jane. Wow - you’ve given us so much to look forward to - and those new yarns are just delectable! I have fond memories of Mullion Cove and fond memories of my last spa day. When was that? 2019 I think! Must hasten to gather info and friends for a much needed outing. Much love, Linda, Kent 💕🧶🧦
Thanks for that. Spun and watched and really enjoyed . Have read the Debbie Zawinski - excellent. She actually came to our guild so we all had a go at the stick spinning. Worked well.
Hi Jane 👋 lovely to see you again, the Retreats sounds Great. Oh My the Mullion Hotel is Beautiful and That Spa! Know wonder you felt so relaxed, just Gorgeous. Take Care xx from Australia 🇦🇺 ❤
I found that last video to be fun and I was okay with the pictures at the end. It would be nice to have them pop up dui g the discussion…but I understand your situation too! All is good in the end. 😊
Just found you and enjoyed your podcast - can I come on retreat☺️. Afraid - from the States and not able to come over right now, - have been to England many times but not to your area - sounds wonderful - will have to visit with you on this site and enjoy.
So lovely to visit with you again dear Jane! I really enjoyed seeing your recent and current projects.😊 I love watching Kelly too - such a gentle soul. I’m so pleased you enjoyed your day at the spa (glad I’m not the only one who struggles to get gift vouchers used in time!!) I love your idea of having a “reset” - sometimes we all just keep merrily working away until we crash! I just gave myself permission to have a nap this afternoon after a busy morning - our temperature is in the mid 30s today - way too hot for me ! Feeling refreshed now - well type of 😂 take care until we “meet”again 😊
Woah that is warm. I don’t function well in the heat 🥵 stay cool 😎 I have been guilty of letting vouchers lapse before and as both of them had taken the time to think about the treat it completed me to use it and I am so glad I did. Note to self to do more self care ☺️
@@thecornishknitter I don’t function well in the heat either Jane ( must be my English and Scottish heritage) ! It’s 8:30 pm and still almost 30 degrees- blah 😑 but it’s worse in Melbourne- close to 40 for 3 days straight 😓 Best wishes for a wonderful week ahead Jane- with some little treats for you sprinkled through it😊
Another very enjoyable podcast. Loved seeing all your projects. The spa looked so relaxing. Thank you Jane. I enjoyed The Lost Flock by Jane Cooper, a very interesting interesting look at these wee Scottish sheep 🏴
Thank you Jane for another lovely Podcast and for listening to the suggestions for your Pattern podcast. All your makes are beautiful and your Spa day was well deserved 😊
I'm also knitting the Polina. This past year I've challenged myself to utilize Ladderback Jacquard for sections of long floats. I love it!...it doesn't take long for it to become easy. At first, I'd put a stitch marker at each spot, but after the first project I don't need to do that anymore 😊
Thanks for organising an Easter KAL - the socks are gorgeous and I have a pre-order in for the lovely yarn. I don’t get on with Zoom so would prefer a TH-cam Live for the KAL - it was great for the last KAL. 🙂
A lovely video today 😊 wow Jane, the blue/ green shawl you were wearing is so lovely, those colours really suited you ❤ I like my greens too, AND I do love browns 🤎. I know a lot of knitters and crochet's screw their faces up (lol), but I think browns are so under rated ? Have a lovely weekend 🦘🇦🇺
I so agree. I love a good brown too. This shake is stunning. It’s interesting because the original pattern would not have tempted us but in these colours… wow. 🤩
Hi Jane Another great blog. I'd love it if you would show the wrong side of the shawls, it's always a consideration for me when I'm choosing a new pattern. Polina sweater is looking good, I love your colour choice and the yarn looks perfect. I'm sitting knitting the second of my Nalu fingerless mitts while I watch, the air-con is blasting as its 39 degrees outside, the first of a 3 day heatwave here in Melbourne, Oz. Lovely to see Mullion, I love a blustery day, far preferable to this crazy heat!
Thank you. Wow that sounds hot 🥵 I don’t cope well in extreme heat being fair skinned so on the rare occasions that we get really warm weather in the UK I seek cool places. I will show the reverse side for you another time thank you for the reminder. The Tamdou is basically the same both sides if that helps. ☺️
Hi Jane, Thanks for this lovely podcast. I have a questions re winding skeins of yarn into cakes - is there an easy way to do it without having the expensive proper equipment?
Hi Karen. If you have someone else get them to loop it around their hands and then wind. Or backs of two chairs (back to back) works or some people can sit cross legged and use their knees ( err not me 🥹) Hope this helps ☺️
