I'd love for Revoltech Yamaguchi to make a Colossus. I've always wanted to re-enact the fast ball special but I never had two figures that were suitable.
Even with this figures flaws, I still think it's good.
I looked at this figure in pics and I thought it was ugly, but now that I got it in person I think it’s great. My first revoltech
just like i imagined Revoltech would do. i have no issues. tons of fun crazy poses!
The "holding" hand could be for holding katana tho... the cigar one, they probably think it's not a "good" accessory for a toy or depiction of a hero... idk that's what I heard tho...
D-amazing did ok with it holding Deadpool's katana....
Sometimes, a hand meant for a sword can get away with a trigger finger mold simply because there are poses that exist, in comics and well, real life, where a katana, cutlass or any other sword is being held loosely, and falls at an angle within the hand. (When held in a neutral manner, with the blade facing downwards)

Marvel has a ''No smoking'' policy atm due to a writer having certain events happen, surrounding smoking. That's why the cigar was removed. Can be Googled for more info.

The sculpt, the heft, and the proportions on this thing are awesome, I just wish they wouldn't sacrifice so much esthetically for the sake of articulation. Those elbow and shoulder joints really are brutal, and those gaps are a deal breaker... :(

I can understand if you don't enjoy the style or take they have on the character, especially if you have a super idealized way you think the hero should look. HOWEVER YOU CANNOT argue that these aren't incredible figures. The Poses, the paint, and the material just looks high grade. When i was a kid, marvel legends figures were prolly at their peak. I peeped todays action figures and they are balls. This tho, is dope. ill be saving my cash to get it.

and personally I think the toy is dope. Most of your issues were subjective. If you wanted a toy without the big gaps for posing, you should just went with a less articulated toy :)! Nice review!

Honestly after getting this guy I like him way better than the new hasbro wolverine brown suit. The poses easily make up for the the articulation flaws at least for me. Mine did not break, did you ever get your replacement? ?
Really love this review. I never had my sights set on getting on but looked forward to your opinion on him because I did not see anyone looking at it critically because WOAH WOLVERINE TIGERSTRIPE?!
I also just got strangely burnt from Tman's "review" that is a single picture that's a single minute long. Lol? Anyway, I can tell you put a lot of effort into giving a 100% complete analysis with all objectivity and subjectivity given pretty fairly. Thanks!

Great review Anthony!!! I personally love this figure and think he's the best in the line. I'm glad they still gave us the cigar hand because I just use the cigar from my Venom Snake figure.

I like the revolted for their articulation and how accurate they are to the comics but the gap is ehhh,but I can deal with it.Marvel Legends has the almost no gaps but the articulation is less than the revoltech.Both lines are great

I find it ironic that you didn't like the figure as much as other people (and the issue with the shoulder pad breaking) yet you still managed to pull off some entertaining and badass poses with this guy. Lol

Don't like the claws(they're too long) but other than that he's a great figure. Way better than Deadpool and Spider-Man
Jarmo Verriet I think the long claws make it a GREAT representation for Marvel vs Capcom Wolverine, but I agree they can look off
They definitely aren't too long, considering his claws have been drawn different sizes for many years....
Ocelot The claws can't store into the forearms when they're this long, though.

His ''normal'' ones wouldn't be able to fit, either, without making his wrists completely unusable. But it's a comic character so who gives a fuck?

I'm all for opinions right. I get why people love it, the posing options, the style. I get it really, but I am not a fan of it. I don't like ugly, and exposed joints thats a huge problem for me. I don't mind style, I do think this figure vanilla poses the best of the Revoltech figures. I gotta say I haven't been convinced on getting a revoltech, Spider-Gwen has been the biggest maybe, otherwise I am not a fan.
Quick thought and question.. do you think you can do a couple comparison videos? Ex. Amazing yamaguchi wolverine vs marvel legends baf juggernaut wolverine.. and amazing yamaguchi captain America vs sh figuarts capt. America?

Found one. It seems you don't have a review for the Revoltech Magneto. So I hope you don't mind me just asking for your opinion. What do you think about Revoltech Magneto's cape? That's the only issue I have with it and I would like to hear your opinion sir.

yes. but i wouldnt fix it. not worth the time. the store can replace it and let revoltech eat the cost. maybe theyll learn to make better figures.
Yeah is a really delicate piece. I don't even move it around that much cause I am afraid it breaking on me.
Great review! But It's understandable how some of the articulation requirements limit normal anatomy esthetics, obviously because toy figures don't have stretchable skin. Maybe in the future they'll develop a perfect mix of articulation and anatomy. Although I've seen some amazing photo shoot poses with this figure despite those articulation gaps and the design on most of these Revoltech figures are awesome, resembling the Marvel v Capcom versions, which I love. One thing I was definitely a bit disappointed with was some of the paint job and detail on the wolverine's faces, as he mentioned. The figure i got also has that minimal defect, and I've seen another reviewer mention it, so it's not just an odd one of the lot. That definitely sucks. It can be a bit sloppy for a figure at this price range. Would have loved it if they had actually made it with an actual extra mask piece to go over the face, rather than just a sub par paint job, which apparently too difficult for them to achieve for a more meticulous figure. I've seen that the captain America figure has a removable, mask like helmet, which is the perfect example and really cool.

Thanks. I sorta figured out mine. If the front part overlaps the crotch part then it stays put. If it's tucked in, then it floats. A bit better articulation but annoying

Lol the ending was funny
The hands that appear to be for holding guns, can also be used to hold a cigar. Well, at least that would be a good option for those hands. A custom cigar is very easy to do, even I can make one.
Extremely articulated...although not particularly human looking. I like Wolfy & Magneto, but the Cap is way too buff and too far removed from Kirby's uniform for my tastes.

oh man im glad im not the only one who had the right shoulder pad break. I actually really like this figure, but this one seems to have more QC issues than the others. The ball joint for the shoulder pad looked like it fused into the socket. i was able to fix it with some plastic cement and opening up the socket some more (also had to dig out the ball joint, it was really stuck in there, like they stuck it in before paint was completely dry or something). It's alot more loose fitting now, but at least it's in and can move. But i actually had to force it a good amount to break it, i wasnt sure if it was moving because i was breaking it or moving because...it was moving lol It felt like it was articulating normally and then i realized that it was stressing and twisting at the connection point. I think that might have happened to yours too and that's why it seems to have broken with almost no force. After i realized what was happening and was observing and testing it, it snapped right off.
sucks about your shoulder joints being loose as well, mine came out fine. They do include extras though, so hopefully those are better?
As far as price point goes, it's definitely not worth the increased price point that domestic sellers in the USA are selling them for, but worth it at it's japanese msrp imo. I imported it from japan for about 55 with expedited air shipping, i think the msrp was around 45 to 48. The prices for these are ridiculous on places like BBTS.
variablex exact same thing happened to my right shoulder pad thought it was moving but it was actually the peg twisting. Then it snapped. Looks like the peg was glued or melted in place. I just superglued the pad on and called it a day.
i realized i shouldve done that after i dug out the ball joint lol i plastic cemented the ball joint back on to the pad, then had to carve out the socket more so that it wouldnt break when i put it back in, which happened a few times, but after some re-cementing and giving more time to cure as well as carving out the socket more, i finally "fixed" it. So strange that it seems to be a widespread problem, on the same side as well! man wtheck is going on?
variablex not sure how yours was, but I noticed every right shoulder pad I've seen pictured or in video is also crooked and skin shows between the pad and torso.
yeah mine was not aligned either, that's why i was pushing it. i was able to get the left arm flushed and natural looking but couldnt on the right arm and noticed it was the shoulder pad. had trouble moving it and thought i was budging it, but nope, just twsting it by the peg apparently lol

That is mostly the point of his reveiw videos. Instead of covering the good stuff he mostly focuses on the bad stuff, sometimes saying some good stuff.

Marvel legends you pay 10 dollars and comes with almost nothing extra ... In the case of Revoltech, you pay a little more for the various extras, for the finishing, articulation and painting that clearly are better than the Marvel Legends. But this is my opinion, I respect your, but I do not agree.
it's not opinion. this figure cost 4 times as much as a marvel legends figure...they are held to different standards. and for the record, the paint is not better. the articulation is more complex but not better.
Like I said ... If you're willing to have a simple figure, with nothing too much to add, get the Marvel Legends. now if you want something with more mobility, better finish and with more options, you have to be prepared to pay more expensive

The grimace face is supposed to work with the canceled cigar, so I guess they didn't bother putting in the teeth sculpts since he'd have been sucking on it.
This figure looks like it's too messy for my taste. I'm generally ok with revo's design choices, but the shoulders and how floppy they are... just isn't my thing. Main reason I like revos is the tight joints to begin with... so.
I did enjoy Gwen a hell of a lot better than the other figures in the line. Her shoulders are much better hidden and can be used as single joints if you so choose, and aside from the way they did the hood, which I absolutely hate, it's a solid figure.
I think we can chalk this line up as a stop on the road towards that ultimate action figure line. It's different, it's not afraid to try thing, but ultimately it's going to end up as a footnote in the history of action figure.

Great review as always! As a MvC fan, I would love to have this but it’s way too pricey & those gaps are an eyesore. Figma & Figuarts does similar articulation & yet those figure looks better. I love the claws & wish the Legends could have something similar but doubt it. For the price point, I would rather buy Mezco’s version.

Attractiveness is subjective. As far as I'm aware there's no objective scale attractiveness can be graded against, there is no way to measure something's attractiveness in an objective manner. If you hadn't made a comment in the beginning about trying to be objective and declaring that you'd point out when you were being subjective, I'd just toss this up to a turn of phrase thing,"he doesn't mean it's LITERALLY objectively ugly" And in the end, I'm not particularly invested in this. I was just pointing out something...an objective factual error on your part. God Damn. I spent way too much time re-writing this to try to sound like less of an ass. And I still sound like an ass. I do enjoy your content and I hope there's no hard feelings about this. I'm just an analytically minded pedant, I didn't want to start an argument, I just hoped someone else would watch the video, see my comment, and have a little chuckle.
There is though. Objective qualities do determine attractiveness. It's well-documented. Though different criteria are involved, the same is true for stylized human anatomy and art. It's all objective. Whether or not an individual likes something is subjective but objective quality exists regardless of individual taste.

I'd rather have that $20 Hasbro yellow suit wolverine they revealed. The Hasbro version would also be more in scale with other marvel legends, would also be less stylized
Aaron Chesko IF you can even find the fker with regular price. The brown-ish they released is impossible to find,the only you can get him is pay douple the original price or even triple for scalper. The same one in the retro series they re release sold out on bbts in 20 mins. Good luck finding the tiger stripe when it come out

My main issue with these figures, at least from what I've seen,(I don't have any) is the really ugly looking joints and pretty crappy paintwork. The eyes for spidey were awful in all of the figures and pictures I've seen. It's a shame because the articulation is pretty great
