This video rocks, you have answered a question i put on hold regarding hacking the cue and sweepers settings. I'm working on various hacks and scripts thanks again
Any work around with the following. I want ABBA dancing queen in my 70s catagory and also in my disco catagory. Any way around duplicating this please using one catagory.
Typically, you don't want to duplicate songs in your database because the database will treat them as separate songs and this could affect your rotation rules. I'm not sure how your categories/genres are set-up, but I'd place "Dancing Queen" in the 70s category and Disco genre. In a rotation, you could choose to play a track from the 70s cat without a specific genre OR add the Disco genre to the selection criteria. That way you have more flexibility by not duplicating the track.
Yes you right about rotation rules and by the way if you had dancing queen in two categories once it comes up in one category it won't play in the other. That is good work around 70s disco. I give it a try. I don't think you can filter a song in Dj under more than one category unless u duplicate it and that make no sense. Appreciate the feedback.
@@richclewes Are you looking to import the same song twice in order to assign it to multiple categories? If so, check out my vid about this. One issue with importing the same song multiple times is multiple entries of 'date played' data in the database. If you run rotations and choose songs by 'Least Recently Played', this would affect that.

Where do you get music tracks that have all the metadata, intro, title, artist, and release date? CD never have the data or it's incorrect.
Aside from Title & Artist, I enter this info manually.
@@RadioDJDude ah, good to know. I am doing the same thing, was hoping there was a better way. Thanks for the quick reply.
How do you change the sweeper settings in version 2.0.4.5? That option doesn't seem to be there now.
Not sure, Darrell. I'm still using 2.0.4.3. It's odd those settings would've changed. I'll try to look into it.
be good if you could find a easy way to allow duplicates without having to rename 000's of files
What do you mean? Perhaps there's a way around it. Please let me know what you'd like to accomplish.
