I have been wrestling with my faith for years. This has come as such a breath of fresh air. I have been watching and taking notes on all of these videos and will be attending my first meeting of Friends this Sunday. I wish I could adequately describe the relief I feel at finding a faith tradition that sees that of God in everyone.

I was born in one of the oldest Quaker communities in the U.S. Our Flushing meeting house was built in the 17th century. John Bowne helped to establish religious freedom in America before the Bill of Rights. George Fox visited his home as well. 🕊️

My early ancestors were Quakers. I can understand why they were. It's a very spiritual religion. I like how George Fox found his answers "inward", so to speak. That resonated with me.

My mother's father came from a Quaker family that had a farm in Indiana. He left the quakers though and didnt follow the Quaker way. But, I just recently decided to research Quakers as I have no real religion but am finding I seem to "think" a lot like Quakers do.

It's striking to me how similar the times are now, to those of the England when Quakerism started, and how relevant this movement could still be. What would ignite us into a people on fire again?

Shining a light on the evil monsters who cloak themselves with shadows of language. Philosophical truth keeps that fire going long after the emotional spark that started it.

Please acknowledge why they were called QUAKERS-it’s because they had received the Baptism of Jesus Christ and were filled with the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in TONGUES of Resurrection Fire.
    (Acts 2:38)
They “quaked” or “trembled” under the power of God when praying in the Holy Spirit (Tongues). This is what it means to “work out your own salvation with fear & trembling.”
    (Phil 2:12)
