We were privileged enough to watch Ben Harper during his recent tour to South Africa. While time did not permit us to do a Mountainside Session, we managed to capture something special. This video shows what took place moments before taking the stage. It's raw, it's beautiful, it's everything we love about music and how it brings people together.
Words cannot express our gratitude to Ben Harper and his team for not just allowing us into that private space to capture this but also for agreeing to let this video live on our channels for the sake of South African music and what we strive to achieve through Mountainside Sessions. Ben Harper is one of the most criminally underrated artists of our generation. The magic I found is uniqueness of how you learn about Ben Harper. Often at his gigs he will ask the crowd how did you find out about my music and when he suggests "from a friend" the crowd always go crazy.
