Ha ha thanks Alan, me too! Wish I'd put that in the video now. Perhaps we could start a new trend; UCM, unintentional camera movement!

If you go back to the 50s and look at the work of Ernst Haas you'll find some of his ICM work, shot on 12ASA Kodachrome some superb shots. What I find funny is people running workshops on it, just go out and play. Don't forget to knock your IBIS off!

Thanks Iain, I wonder what Haas called it. And I forgot about the IBIS, oops!

@@iaincphotography6051 Thanks Iain, I see, but I understand why that didn't stick because you can obviously get motion blur from moving subjects with a fixed camera.

Something totally unexpected, loved the shots using the tripod. I discovered zoom blur by accident, which works well with flowers but not tried ICM apart from panning shots for motorsports, so will enjoy trying something different and will definitely be giving this a go.

I’ve done some ICM before but your video has made me think I should try some more. Maybe on one of those days when you think there’s nothing to shoot. Oh, and panning is not ICM👍📸

Hi Tony, thank you for teaching Video ! I have a question, when you shoot ICM, does the vibration reduction system on your camera need to be turned off?

Thanks. I did some experimentations on ICM myself. Some more suggestions:
Similar to tripod-ICM are long exposures out of a car or train or any other moving platform. Depending on time of day, light and shutter speeds you get some really interesting results.
Try moving the camera to the rhythm of music.
Try combining movement and flash, rear shutter is always nice.
Try combining movement and double exposures, with different blending modes.
Try walking or biking around with ND filter on - remote shutter or interval shutter recommended.
The possibilities are endless and you will be surprised.
