Happy to see you are talking about my hometown. They jail is definitely open to tourist and the city will also allow art exhibits during the Spoleto festival. When I visited the jail a few years back, there was definitely a feeling of dread when entering the second floor. It was as if the ancestors didn’t want me to enter. Yes please do, I’m from that area and I have not heard about a jailhouse being there. Please do a SC seriously, bc they are erasing our history down there because of their guilt and money.
I’m from Macon, Ga and we have Central State Prison/Mental Asylum in Milledgeville, Ga…it’s been closed down due to unexplained deaths but was well known for “experimental” treatments/techniques that left the patients/inmates in a worse state than they were in when they entered. I worked for a Mental health facility who took in many of the people who were released after the closing…the things I’ve heard from these patients were scary to those not tapped in, I was the one they openly talked to about their experiences because I believed them!
I am from and now back in Charleston, sc; it's like Charleston has a hold on me. AND I grew up in an A.M.E church (havent been there since 2015). OK OK let me start the video over and actually listen
I moved from Delaware in 2021 to heal and recover from the loss of my son. I live in South Carolina now and thank you was looking for some historical place and interesting sights to go see her. I love him dearly will never forget about him but he wouldn’t want me to be a shitty mom to his two brothers and sister I’m still raising 17,18,21 and my daughter gave me a grandson in 2023. Then my 34 year old has some issues asked me to raise her three kids so I’m another single mom to grandkids now 6,8,13 so I gotta be here for them 100%. I have an alter. Just for him we talk everyday I saw good morning 🌞 and tell him good night everyday light my candles 🕯️… Thank yes love you 😘 for the story❤❤❤

Thank you so much for doing this video, was in one of your livestreams a while back and you asked for suggestions and we mentioned this, so thank you for doing this. This jail is spooky, been there before on a tour, the energy is just weird there. We've been here in Charleston for 10 years and the spooky history and stories make you think.
