Living with Trisomy 12p (Communication without Words)

Ella is 1 of 40 people in the world diagnosed with Trisomy 12p. At age 9 she is expressing her thoughts for the first time with the help of alternative communication methods.
As we sat together I told Ella “I fully believe you can express yourself.” She responded by grabbing my hand while her mother watched with tears in her eyes.

My daughter has Trisomy 12p when she was diagnosed at 2 years old I saw this video and thank you, Ella. Seeing other parents and children's stories have helped our journey. My daughter is 4 now and she has come a long way.
