you need to trow those old turning signals away ,go on amazon there are some nice crystal clear replacement lights ,it will make your truck look cleaner.

Clear side markers will fail you on safety inspection. They have to be amber to be DOT legal...
And yes. You can and probably will get a ticket. The DOT cops are looking for revenue from everyone now.
The W/T grille looks great in black. Real clean look. Even better if it was a GMC grille... ;^)

Doing the exact same thing. Wanted to watch someone else potentially break something first. These old trucks electronics and their plastic have always been a concern of mine.

I have the stupid fake chrome and when I sand it, it just melts pretty annoying luckily I'm practicing on my broken grill first but any tips how to get that fake chrome off

That's the base model grille which uses the single sealed beam setup that was on the standard C/K Pick-Ups in Cheyenne trim and the W/T trim (exclusively for the C/K 1500's).
What kind of paint did you use and the sanding process done by hand or with a buffer?
The paint used was Rustoleum Flat Black and we sanded it by hand

@@cristianrufino3472 $2,500 dollars so far on oil change, transmission flush kit, tune up, new catalytic converter, fuel filter, idle air control valve and flowmaster series 40 dual exhaust. She's running good now. Next going to be line x bed and new tires.

Ya need to not worry about that ugly front end...ya need to go to Ebay and get the Silverado front end..you know chrome grille..billet insert ..clear lights..etc..

gdub454 I got a 89 k2500 with the grill in the video I think they look a heck of a lot better then then the early 90s silverado grills
Nope...That means switching to plastic headlights!...And billets inserts look like JC Whitney....
get rid of that ugly work style grill and get the nicer one I think is its called a hb4
I hate the hb4 grill.
