I just started the listing for 4 tickets to an event happening in 8 months on Stubhub. I'm already out a grand for the tickets. Then, I noticed in the terms and conditions that I don't get paid until 5-8 days AFTER the event?! I honestly had no idea this policy had changed since I last sold tickets and got paid right away. I understand that these sites got burned during covid, but at this point, I don't think we'll be shutting down like we did before, even if we have more waves of covid. In the meantime, the reselling sites get to keep that cash during the interim, put it in an interest-bearing account, and make even more money off of these sales! It's infuriating!
Definitely a difficult situation for the ticket seller, but over time we are starting to see small changes taking place. Hopefully in the next few years this practice will change 🤞🏽🤞🏽

You’re guaranteed the payment when making a sale on a reputable resale marketplace as there are seller terms in place to prevent the withholding of your funds so long as you meet the seller terms (delivery on time, valid tickets, etc). In terms of determining which events will make a lot of money, that requires a bit of research but can be done by staying informed of all the different acts and tours that go on sale, understanding the price they are being listed for, gaining presale access, and following trends. Some things like Adele and BTS are always guaranteed to do well with outsized returns, but there’s always smaller less well known events that can see large returns as well

Generally I like to recommend starting out with StubHub because they have a relatively nice user interface and make it pretty easy to list and sell. Fees will be around 15%. If you purchased the AEW tickets direct from ticketmaster, it may be possible to list them through ticketmaster directly and that would be even easier for you since they take care of the delivery as well. I believe fees through ticketmaster are between 10-15%.
Ah then should be simple enough. You’ll either need to deliver them with the provided shipping label once they sell, or if the event is directly integrated with StubHub then it’s just a matter of entering the barcodes (it’ll default to this option if integrated). Haha all very true! If you run a cash heavy operation and aren’t prepared for the music to stop, things get ugly really fast. Sales at the venue or on the streets are always nice, and cash in hand is the best feeling. I remember doing numerous deals in the ground level of my old work building and feeling like a champ going back up the elevator with cash in my pocket. Was always a little worried walking around with so much money though
@@thumbsuprun I know of guys who walk around the streets around the Augusta National course at Masters time with between 40-50 k cash on them in a fanny pack... as there you never know if you come across a pair of weekly badges and as a buyer you need to be ready for that at anytime

I believe you’ll still need to verify your account before you’ll be paid. It takes a few days for the deposits to come in for you to verify your account. Wait 3-5 days after inputting your bank info and you should get 2 deposits between 0.01 and 1.00 from Ticketmaster. Enter those to verify and you’re good to go
No difference between the two. PayPal payout just means you need to withdraw funds to your bank afterwards, while a payout to bank basically gets the cash there a day earlier. But no difference from a fee perspective
If I buy primary tickets from ticketmaster and resale them on ticketmaster do I still need to transfer the tickets or does ticketmaster automatically transfer the tickets
If you buy from Ticketmaster and resell on Ticketmaster, you don’t need to do anything to complete the sale. Ticketmaster will automatically pull the barcode into their platform when listing the tickets so they will transfer automatically to the buyer upon sale. Hands off approach 🙌🏽
It’s really market dependent as well as location location location. Both the team itself as well as the location of the season seats. If you’re trying to resell Detroit Lions season tickets for example...good luck. If you have KC Chiefs of Bucs tickets though, tons of money making potential. The hardest part is getting yourself in the game because most profitable season tickets are already owned, either by resellers or just fans in general. Do you know anyone in your local market who owns season tickets to your closest NFL team? They would be able to provide excellent insight into their cost and if they have made any money selling tickets before. I own several NFL team season tickets at this point, and most have only been profitable in years with them making it to the playoffs because that’s where the big bucks really are. Long story long, you should be able to make 10% to 100%+ on season seats but it may take a few years to get into the really profitable seats. You also need to be prepared for the down years if the team starts to suck. What team(s) are you considering?

I’ve sold plenty of tickets through Ticketmaster with good success. The only time people have difficulty selling through Ticketmaster is if they do not get all their paperwork sorted before listing. This includes setting up and confirming your banking details in advance and making sure you sign any any all required forms before beginning your first sale. If all that is done, then you should be fine as payments will all be automated once you make your first sale

If you’re looking at resale within Ticketmaster, unfortunately you won’t know until they open it up. However, you can go under the assumption of yes so long as ticket transfer is enabled. When tickets are able to be transferred directly within Ticketmaster, it normally means that the event will be able to be resold through Ticketmaster. If you’re purchasing non-transferable tickets though then it is less likely you’ll be able to resell them through Ticketmaster directly. As long as you have a way to transfer tickets though, you can always sell them through another resale website outside of Ticketmaster as well

I honestly don’t expect it to ever change at this point for individual sellers. Larger brokers are already able to get paid on delivery if they have a large enough gales volume. What might be interesting to see is if they charge a fee for early payment. SeatGeek now offers this service for larger brokers for even earlier payment on confirmation instead of waiting for delivery. TickPick has always been pay on confirmation for large brokers with weekly payouts.
It’ll be harder only in the sense of having capital tied up at the beginning. There are events with good margins that can have quick turnaround times (few weeks to couple of months), so just have to keep an eye out for those. There are a few other options with ticket consignment as well, and I’ll have some videos on the topic in the future. Fees are higher up front though especially at the beginning so just something to keep in mind, but can fire me a message on IG and we can discuss.

If the event has a limit on resell through Ticketmaster then the only way to resell them would be to either do it on another platform or to follow whatever terms Ticketmaster/event promoter has set. Now that we are finally seeing cases drop and vaccines increase in Ontario, Events are looking good for later this year and next year, also bought some tickets to see The Weeknd in Toronto in April 2022!
I like the optimism! Cases have definitely dropped significantly over the last two months here. Just hoping to see it continue and we can finally bring back sports to Ontario. Dying for some baseball! ⚾️⚾️

Miss selling on eBay I would get paid right away. Just sold tickets on Ticketmaster and have to wait 7 days and pay fees.
eBay was a great option for sure! Feels like tickets sold over that platform have really dried up over the years though unfortunately

Check a couple of days after the general sale. If it doesn’t show up though, then you may need to sell as mobile transfer on a different platform
