Thank you for not depicting an antlered Wendigo in your thumbnail. I automatically disregard any story or depiction involving antlers, because that aspect of the creature didn’t exist until the 2000 movie Wendigo
@@ThenorthFace-ib2yi I thought Abraham purchased the land to bury Sarah from Ephron the Hittite, not a satyr… ? Am I wrong? Where did you hear it was a satyr? Was it a tribe like that of the Hittites? I’m not saying satyrs didn’t exist. I’m doubtful they are in any way related to the wendigo, though.
I sure would like to see more about the Wendigo. From this channel or any other channel even short video clips. Personal stories that seem credible, I want more about the Wendigo I can't get enough it's like addicting when I hear about this creature. I don't know if it's real or not but something in my psyche tells me there's more to the wendigo than just stories
Just stumbled across your channel while looking for Canadian stories. Being from Newfoundland, I find Canadian stories are few + far in between. :/ Great job narrating 🎙🖤💣💥
The scarce beauty of those wilderness zones which might at one time have held some pleasant view is erased when the black acts of them guilty is exposed during the bleak madness that grows within during the empty season of which all are subjected.
It brings to mind stories that we can substantiate..Donner Pass and those who were described in the book ALIVE. I believe those people did what they must to survive under horrific circumstances. It is difficult to give these examples of severe starvation the badge of wendigo..and we can say the same for indigenous people who might have suffered the same plight. I have always thought of wendigo as a paranormal situation, not desperation, but a choice or possession of some sorts. It’s difficult to differentiate when starvation or survival is part of the story being told.
The basis of the wendigo is promoted by the frozen starving human inhabitants. Doesnt matter which tribe was their origin. Starving eventually will happen to indegenous groups or eauropean groups alive in that zone and subject to the conditions any of them would experience toward the end of winter. Wendigo started with those believed to be naturally adapted to such cold and foodless months. Indegenous windego became legend long before white settlers appeared. But if the tale of such cannabalism originated at a place, it was in the tribal stories and beliefs of those who lived there for so many centuries, struggling to survive. 11:24 this story says it all
Find and watch the new movie consumed, it was an interesting representation of the wendigo, and im not spoiling anything, if you know about them, you could tell from the trailer
I fear I might have a constitution that is less than iron. I listen to Subarctic Alaskan Sasquatch as he recounts real encounters with Alaskan Sasquatch; but, I never have liked too many wendigo stories.
My brother was acqainted with a guy whos family name was Windigo. His family also owned and ran their own caterimg company. I thought it was kind of funny lol

I dont know, Alaska.

Weird how it resembles zombies in some ways, which actually came from Haitian culture.
@adamcuneo7189 zombies from Haiti? Is it possible ?
@@lagemadeltiempo1103 I don't think so, but it's weird how both Native Americans and the Haitians both had cannibalistic entities in their religions.

An admirable trait indeed
They say Kenora, Ontario is the Wendigo capital of the world.
It's ironic how popular the Wedigo myth is considering how many tribes refuse to to even speak of it in fear of inviting one.
Them Wendigos are badass.
