If you have an invention you have to do a few things in this order...
1. Keep your creation a secret.
2. Call a lawyer.
3. Get patent, trademark, copyright (which ever the lawyer says is required.)
4. Show the world what you made.

Burning Methanol is also near invisible in daylight so the whole thing might catch on fire since it leaks and you just wouldn't know it and then next thing you know your hand feels a little toasty...

Supersoakers mostly just store pressure with a pump and release on trigger, so theres no real point to it over just using a pressurized tank to begin with.

Fun fact: the blue color methanols flame gives off when burned mixed with the small flame causes the flame to appear invisible in daylight. This is kinda a problem in f1 racing when they spill gas during pit stops because they use methanol-based fuel instead of the more common ethanol gasoline which burns red and goes boom

The law cant stop anyone from using butane to make a lightsaber. Its like saying you can patent on making an icecream using milk.
