This is one of the most popular Home Free songs. It was the first song I ever heard from Home Free & I was instantly hooked. It really showcases the talent of these 5 men (their tight harmonies, Tim Foust's bass & Adam Rupp's incredible beatboxing). They are my favorite a cappella group. This song is very old (about 100 yrs.) & is done in the bluegrass country style. It was used in the movie "Oh Brother Where Art Thou" starring George Clooney. Some of my favorites are "Take Me Home Country Roads", "In The Blood", "Blue Ain't Your Color", "How Great Thou Art", "Ring Of Fire", "Elvira", "Hillbilly Bone", "American Pie", "Brother In Arms", "One Man Band", "Listen To The Music", "Sea Shanty Medley", "Skull & Bones" etc.
Home Free is an incredible group. They can all sing and sing all genres of music. Three of them are also songwriters so they also sing originals too. Tim, the low bass, has a five octave range so he can sing super low but also high. They also have a great sense of humor so they have lots of funny/silly songs as well as beautiful songs. Known for great harmonies. Their beatboxer, Adam, is amazing! Good one!
Wonderful watching you respond to all the subtleties in #homefree. You've stumbled on one of the best groups out there. Great soloists, superb harmonies, one of the best beatboxers in the business. They do a fantatic rendition of "Stand by Me."

Welcome to the Home Free rabbit hole The group started in 2000/2001( there’s contention on the year)by brothers Chris and Adam Rupp They won The Sing Off season 4 2013 They are the only Country A Capella ( all vocals no instruments)group but they are honestly do so so much more than just country music they can sing any genre and they do. There is no Lead singer in the group. They each ( except Adam R )sings the song and who’s ever voice or voices sound right for the song gets the lead unless it is a bass/ baritone song then that’s Tim or Chance.A lot of time each member have a part in the song. Fans of Home Free are known as Home Fries Adam Rupp: Beatboxer Extraordinaire can make almost any sound imaginable (A whole drum kit, harmonica (his Nomonica we call it )plane flyovers, trains, castanets, bugs ,birds etc).Co founder from Mankato Minnesota. They are just funny, down to earth, humble nice guys. They are the best A Cappella group there is IMO Sorry for the long read 🏠🍟
Just subscribed with hopes for more Home Free. They are the best! They do a huge variety of music and each have a very impressive vocal range. They will make you dance, cry and fall out of your seat laughing. They have great personalities and sense of humor and are genuinely good people. Tim, the bass, has a 5 octave range and Adam, the beatboxer, can't be beat. Thanks for the Home Free reaction! Hope to see more
New subscriber. Great reaction, too! I love it when people discover Home Free. They are a freakishly talented group of fellas that excel in all music genres. They can make you laugh sometimes, they can make you cry sometimes but they always impress. Here's a cheat sheet on the group: Adam Rupp, co-founder of HF and the awesome beatboxer. Tim Foust, bass. He has a five-octave range. Rob Lundquist (glasses and beard) Tenor Harmony. Austin Brown, Lead Tenor. Adam Chance, Baritone ( goes by Chance). Chance replaced Chris Rupp (co-founder) who left in 2016. Take Me Home Country Roads is phenomenal but you might also want to check out Dreamer, When A Man Loves A Woman, End Of The Road, One Man Band, American Pie featuring Don McLean, I Swear, Blue Ain't Your Color, Dive Bar Saints, The Driver, Crazy and Folsom Prison Blues. For some funny ones: Butts Medley, All About That Bass, Champagne Taste, Hillbilly Bone and Ray Stevens' Mississippi Squirrel Revival. For some serious ones: How Great Thou Art, Go Rest High On That Mountain. When you are familiar with all the boys and their vocal roles, do Mayday. And last but not least, Brothers In Arms. It is haunting and beautiful. They have recently released several new songs that you will want to check out. Unchained Melody, Listen to the Music, Brother and Stargazer Lilies trilogy: Give Me A Sign, Stargazer Lilies and Mr. ...Their latest releases are Might As Well Be Me, Playing With Fire, Remember My Name, Oh, Pretty Woman, Cruise, Stand By Me, Colder Weather and Life is a Highway. To switch it up..try Two Country Singers try singing Opera. Adam Chance just wrote the theme song to Ubisoft's new Pirate themed video game, Skull and Bones and Home Free performs it. They've recently welcomed a new member, Adam Bastein. He replaced Austin Brown. Welcome to the Home Free rabbit hole!

Glad you found Home Free! Since you enjoyed Tim's low bass, their cover of 'Brothers in Arms' might be a good one for Veteran's day coming up :)
