Seeing you guys cook and do home improvement etc makes me realize a video idea I would LOVE for you guys to do: A wedding registry/first time homeowners guide! There are so many times you casually talk about products where you've already gone through lots of others to find the one you like. It would be awesome to have a comprehensive guide for every room of the home!
As a 24 year old woman who knows nada about adulting and home repairs, watching you guys’ vlogs, along with ones from the Dad How Do I TH-cam channel, I’ve been able to understand how to do way more things than I ever would by reading a guide on it or watching a tutorial by an expert. They make things way too complicated and use jargon I can’t understand, so thank you for making me feel way more confident in how to do little things around the house 🥰☺️
I’m laughing at Jessica laughing about telling Tyler she’d be fast at target and then her hat says “it is what it is” her hat was made for that clip 😂🤷🏼♀️
I really love watching normal people do normal things. Watching Tyler clean carpets while I wash dishes just makes me feel like I'm hanging out with friends. I've totally "broke" a cookie scooping it off a baking sheet. Patching drywall is currently my life-- relatable! Target lines, don't get me started! Thanks for letting me hang out with you two this Christmas season.
Tyler I’m there with you on the sourdough starter. My starter Ryen (yes his name is Ryen... I feed it with rye flour.. see what I did there?) naps in the fridge for weeks at a time. Take him out, feed him for a couple days and ready to bake!
I tune in for the memories but it would NOT be Vlogmas without the dry wall, carpet cleaning, and other diy! Like….gardening and plant updates! Keep it going……🥰
I'm about to hit 16 and I'm SUPER proud of myself. I don't even understand reading 50 😱 But I do have a lot of other hobbies besides reading. Congrats on 16! What was your fave?
I've always done creamer first. Never knew that was unusual. It's not Vlogmas until we see drywall, bread making, carpet cleaning, and putting some furniture together.
Ever notice the elf children hidden in scenes for The Santa Claus. In the beginning when the kids are looking into the toy store, one of them is an elf. When Charlie gives his presentation in class about what his dad does, check out the boy who sits behind him. Also at the soccer game when Scott has a line of kids waiting to give him their Christmas wishes... pay attention to the ears. They all come back out at the end of the movie when Santa leaves Charlie's house.
I am 59 years old, only take care of the house for my husband and I (a lot less to do without kids) and during the Pandemic I read probably 50-60 books...... It was so nice to get back to reading again. For years I hadn't even read a few books. I was busy raising 3 kids taking care of a household, gardening, flower gardening, volunteering for my kids schools, then my kids were grown so no more classroom PTA Mom stuff, no more team Mom, coaching, etc, so I got to start reading again. I will not let that disappear from my life again. Reading is one of the most wonderful things you can do. When I was a girl I was an avid reader. Books took me away to another time and place and I loved it. reading is a love everyone should give their children. My adult kids still read.
Oh my god I was just thinking Tyler looks so adorable in his grandad cardigan then we cut to the carpet cleaning section edited like that and I laughed out loud 🤣 I also laughed at Jessica telling Tyler she wouldn't be at Target for long. Then the cookie cutter thing. This was a funny episode.
The Giver is one of my all time favorite books! We read the call of the wild this year as a family and it was fun! We watched the movie when we finished it.
I think Tyler needs a TikTok where each video has one of his dad tips. I love the list he keeps of monthly/quarterly household tasks and it’s satisfying to watch the task get completed. The world needs more Tyler doing “dad” things.
I have been cracking up throughout this entire vlog hahah. Jessica sitting in the car saying she told Tyler she wouldn’t be at target long and then just laughing. Tyler thinking the pumpkin was a ghost with one little arm sticking out saying ‘hey guys!’ You are both hilarious and always make my day!
Oh my gosh! The Toll House Disney tin! I still have one, my dad worked for nestle for years and he must have gotten it through work! I’ve always used that tin for my sewing supplies 😂
Trick to reading more is audiobooks. I own a bakery so I am baking all the time and usually have an audiobook playing. So “reading” but not where I’m sitting down only doing that. 50 and 30 is still really impressive. More than most people!
Dying over the rock music and artsy fartsy close ups on the carpet machine. Then the jazzy music. Yes, we are here for carpet cleaning, drywall, sour dough bread, the cutting board and bean rampage, etc. I feel like we've gotten to know Tyler's passions over the years...oh, and wasn't there an abundance of meatloaf? 🤣🤣🤣
I’ve been a creamer in first gal for 20 years and many dirty spoons have been saved along with the fact there are zero brown rings on my counter. 😃 glad to see others convert to the lifestyle 🤣
Really enjoying your Xmas vlogs (and have already been watching Jess’ beauty videos)! I am enjoying watching what a beautiful relationship you have. It is so loving, respectful and filled with laughter. A great recipe for longevity! My hubby and I have that and know how lucky we are. Thx for putting in the hard work to make these vlogs for us! Hugs!
I keep my sourdough starter in the fridge for long periods. I make two loaves of sourdough bread about every three weeks. I let the starter come to room temp on the counter, feed it, wait another five or so hours to make sure it’s bubbly before starting the dough. Let it rise overnight and bake the next day. I haven’t noticed any loss of flavor, I like my bread soft and easy to slice. I use loaf pans to be able to slice and make sandwiches. So no shade from me - we are like minded on not babysitting our sourdough starter.
"I'm so edgy." 😂😂😂😂 I absolutely love the updated editing for shampooing carpets. 😂 That was so entertaining. I also put my creamer in first. Loved the whole pumpkin ghost part. Omg. 🤣😂 Hahahah, Fran. I love her. 😂
We just did gingerbread houses and I saw where you heat white sugar until slight brown and melted and you glue the sides with that!! Worked great and stayed right away!!!
I am all for Tyler's bread making and cutting board time, and cooking and gardening in spring and Jess's grocery's hauls and everything else . I luv her recommendation on all things. I also luv watching you guys baking cookies, makes my heart warm💕🌸✨
The joy of adding the creamer after the coffee is the swirl that comes up. I would wash 5 spoons to see that. I was going to ask you to add the creamer after so we could see the coffee AND the cream 🤣
I can’t decide which I like more: watching the garden grow, feeding the sourdough stater, cleaning the carpet, or repairing the drywall. It’s a tough choice. 🤔
I always put creamer in first not only do you not have to use a spoon you also see how much you put in! Really helps when you cut back how much you put in!!
I recently reread, “a corner of the universe” which I read in 5th grade as well. I remember it sticking out to me and thinking, “this is weird to be reading”. I picked it up again and it’s very eye opening. Definitely a kid book but a deep message!
I recently learned a tip for building gingerbread houses (if you aren't planning to eat them): use hot glue instead of icing. If you're just going to leave it out as decor anyway, might as well have it stay together!
The intro into carpet shampooing had me rolling. Also there's me up at 7 napped with the kiddos and ready for bed by 9..then there is tyler..talking about sourdough at 530am
Brown sugar in a frying on on the stove and use that to put your ginger bread house together!!! It holds it together like cement! Found that trick on tiktok last year, game changer!
I legit thought the ads were still going when the Carpet Cleaning started. Those views and angles on the vacuum…the button close ups loI. I was thinking it was odd that YT was showing an ad for a vacuum. Nice work Tyler.
I know you’re always kidding but your home tasks do give me so much motivation Tyler. I wish I was as organised and up to getting things like carpet shampooing done! Your guys’ home maintenance is chefs kiss!
We have sourdough starter from my grandmother that was originally made like 40 years ago. It is really special because she passed away almost 10 years ago. I love the sourdough content. :)
Top cookie cutter tip, a gingerbread man cutter upside down makes reindeer cookies ( the legs end up being horns, arms are ears and the head ends up being the reindeer face when you put a red nose on the very edge at the centre)
If you want to expand your reading repertoire beyond just the number of books, I highly recommend the Book Riot Read Harder Challenge. It has a great balance of different kinds of books and over the past few years has really expanded my reading horizons!
John Kenell from Preppy Kitchen has been my absolute favorite for dessert recipes! I discovered him early in the pandemic. He deserves all the success!
I read The Westing Game in 5th grade. That was the second time I experienced the phenomena of "can't put it down." A Wrinkle in Time was probably the first.
In regards to the cookie cutter, we have a santa cutter that i was confused about my entire life. I never understood it was santa with a sack on his back. I always looked at it horizontal and thought it was supposed to be santa in a sleigh, which never really made sense to me. But i never saw it when i looked at it vertically either😁
I re read the Giver again a few years again, and it was BOMB tbh I don't know how much you care about hitting your reading goal, but I've found that listening to audiobooks has really upped my book count (i read 109 last year and 161 so far this year!)
I loved reading The Giver (read as a kid and an adult....the read the whole series), Number the Stars and The Westing House. The Westing House is so good.

hahahaha Jess laughing after she told Tyler she'd not be long at Target and the end of the night sillies are my FAVE BUT that riveting carpet shampoo was chef's kiss (tbh SO very satisfying so YES!)
The Santa Clause is one of our yearly musts. Just realized recently realized with holiday movie traditions, they are officially our most-watched movies.
Omg the beginning of the carpet cleaning had me bust out laughing so loud! My husband says "you watching the newest vlogmas" lol. I've always put my creamer in 1st ☕ 😋 The Santa Claus movies are my absolute must, it's not Christmas without em

“Home renovation diy” channel on TH-cam is super solid for home repair stuff too
Exactly, my thoughts on how people make videos (and guides) not necessarily for beginners that may have never come across any of that stuff.
@@RykaStar thank you so much for the recommendation, I need all the help I can get 😂
I’m laughing at Jessica laughing about telling Tyler she’d be fast at target and then her hat says “it is what it is” her hat was made for that clip 😂🤷🏼♀️
Jessica I NEED to know where that hat is from!! 😂😂
I didn’t even notice that - so fabulous
Lol I had to rewind that part it was so true! Lol
The editing though 👌🏼 First, Artsy Fartsy and now the carpet intro. Absolutely yes. 💯
Tyler’s montages for super adulting items GETS ME EVERY TIME!
It nails being an adult to a t! 😂😂
I know right 😂🤣😂
The fact that Tyler thought that cookie cutter was a ghost has me hysterically laughing all by myself, my family probably thinks I’ve lost it. 😂😂😂😂
Lmao!
@@Sierra.968 how was that a ghost??? Lol. I’m dead.
@@Sierra.968 I showed my bf because I thought it was soooo funny & he didn’t even laugh.. hater. 😂
Same!!! My husband looked at me like I'm crazy, so I showed him the clip, he didn't even crack a smile. Lololol.
@@dianabumblebottom4598 these men don’t know what funny is. Lol
Based on Tyler’s interpretation of the pumpkin cookie cutter, I’d love to see him do an ink blot test 😂
That part of the video made me laugh so hard 🤣
Right! Lmao
Me too! 😂
I absolutely agree! Watching this almost a year later and it's so comforting!
Tyler I’m there with you on the sourdough starter. My starter Ryen (yes his name is Ryen... I feed it with rye flour.. see what I did there?) naps in the fridge for weeks at a time. Take him out, feed him for a couple days and ready to bake!
Yup let’s clean that carpet ! Looking forward to seeing Gigi’s room all done ! 🧒
Lol jk. I’m 9.5 months pregnant and I’m ready for my second nap of the day, but Tyler said he’s making bread so I guess I’ll stay up 😂
I tune in for the memories but it would NOT be Vlogmas without the dry wall, carpet cleaning, and other diy!
Like….gardening and plant updates!
Keep it going……🥰
The carpet shampoo announcement was hilarious!! I read 16 books this year and im proud of it. The cookies look so good.

The Giver is actually the first book of a quartet. The other three books are Gathering Blue, Messenger and Son.
