First I want to tell you about the rain yesterday and what I did in it - then a talk about the fear some may feel about coming off of disability and why that may be the case. I'm interested in reading your comments on that topic once you've heard me all the way through. (be nice)

It's not stable if it's growing! I would demand a MRI or get another Dr. Love the rain! Never use an umbrella! Love listening to the rain! Good luck with your future.

Great video Cathy. I personally avoid the rain because of my makeup and my hair. I wish I could go about and not worry about that but I always have foundation on.
I have a close friend who now works in a different department at my job. She has 2 children in middle school and she works full time at a office type state government job. She is right at the poverty line even though she received a promotion a few months ago. Her and her kids live in section 8 housing her which is rough. I don't think she has done all of the math like you have on how much she would need to make to support her family off of assistance but I bet it's going to be at least double what she makes now. I know she will not seek out any more promotions because she would have a significantly more challenging work load compared to the measly 3 or 4k a year increase.
I don't blame her for wanting to stay in a spot where she can continue to receive assistance. I think it's shameful that society does not pay enough for a regular job for her to raise her family. The state pays more than the private sector for her type of job. I guess what I'm trying to say is that I don't blame anyone who is in that situation for not trying to get off of assistance. We need some type of reform thay would ease you off gradually and we also need higher pay for people to support themselves.
I didn't know that you enjoyed college so much. Good for you! Just don't get into debt to take more classes. I spent about 20k for my associate degree at a community college.

Wow! I'm not going to ask you for your number, because you don't know me, but girlfriend, you and I have so much in common! I'd love to talk your ear off! Lol! Btw, I LOVE a warm rain, and my mom always encouraged us to play in the rain, too! I've had 4 strokes, both my boys were killed by drunk drivers in separate crashes, and I've overcome! I may not be able to lift weights like I used to, but with the assistance of my walker, I CAN WALK!

wow your disability system is awful! here you can earn 9k a year on top of disability which is 11k a year without deductions so people will get back into work. now they do make this as hard as possible. when you report your income they usually will stop your cheque and make you fight to get it back-but you can get it back. i wont get into it all but this does stop people from working because they are not well enough to fight with the gov every month and work. I will also say that extra 9k a year still keeps you under the poverty line for this area.
