It really makes it 10x times better; you can see why the sides fought on this place, for example if the Russians win, they keep the dam or destroy the US submarine base, if the US wins; they destroy the dam or launch submarines from the base.
I cant believe they still actually shut this down this was the game me and my dad played since it came out we loved it i genuinely almost cried when they shut it down because all of those years just for the game to get shut down they should honestly make a remaster of it that would hit hard

Why am I fighting in Shanghai? Altaj? Some god forsaken jungle? Or even worse! Why the hell are Russians in the Hearth of Paris?! Good question, here have some generic tones and score board that says Your team won/lost, thats it, gg wp next pointless map. Every single Battlefield, even this new 2042 - even if technicaly superior will never be good enough for one simple reason - they all lack soul. Except for this one.
I have no idea why everyone is now fanboying BF4 when it is the absolute worst of the OG Battlefields. BF2, BC2 and BF3 are all way better than that crap.
I remember how my squad and i always tried to to change the endscreen with us showing up in the area right before the game ends. Some funny stuff came out like having the entire screen show a soldiers face up close or flying through the picture with choppers. Man i miss those days :-(
I know I’m replying to a 3 yr old comment, but yeah I remember that being a quirk with the earlier iterations of the Frostbite Engine. Similar things could be seen in Bad Company 1 & BF1943.
Sounds better when the Russians are speaking Russian instead of English it sounds more immersive something that newer battlefield games unfortunately failed to do this unfortunately started with Battlefield 3 when DICE gave the Russians awful English dialogue
@@hnojic That's the exception to the rule I'm referring to battlefield 3 and 4 games set in a modern setting there was no need to give the other teams awful english accents when even today they're militaries speak their native languages obviously in BF1 they speak their native tongues to keep it somewhat historically accurate

I believe these endings are in real time generated. Not pre recorded. The assets spawn in and follow a set programmed route. That's why sometimes the tanks or helicopters freeze at a certain point where they were programmed to go to and not further. Aswell as why the jet explodes differently each time. Sometimes you get the full roll and synced explosion. Sometimes it explodes too early. If it was a recording that is playing (actual video file) it would be perfect each time. The effort they put into it is so amazing!

Something isn't right with LODS in this game. For example the model of the radio has changed just before tank track approached.
