I'm 43 now and I still get the same feel from when I was younger camp lo didn't get their props because they were different in a era where everybody wanted to be a gangster
I was just in elementary school going to jr high 😂 but listening to all these older songs got me strolling down memory lane. The Bronx was definitely the place to be growing up
Dog these guys really have one of the most original styles I've heard in music history. .they made harmony and beautiful music with the flows, deliveries and lyrical style. They had their own style of talking and slang. You feel like you were transported back in the 1970s or something.
At a time where everybody was on some mafioso shit or some coke shit or just straight ignant nigga shit... Camp lo arrived and kept me grounded. We take for granted how powerful the mind is. For example if you go to school listening to DMX's damien song you gonna low key be on some ole evil shit without knowing it. On the other hand you on your way to school and you got this ole fly nigga shit rocking you gonna be in school energized and ready to get your mack on back to back baby.
@@The808Mixmaster nah it's super easy if you remember how he flowed back then. Hell, this beat even has similarities to a single of his from around the same time (who u wit) just listen to that and boom, you can tell how he'd sound on this
If you had this CD back when it came out you are a legend. My best friend showed it to me and I remember seeing this video on BET. I'd say it's almost the perfect album.
At it's finest say it again these niggas was so got damn sharp with it. Till this day I don't how they did it and they wan't ever able to do it again sadly. Love my guys though
See Jay-Z stole " feeling it" from camp lo, I can never forget I use to hate jay-z couldn't understand all that dope talk at the time. Camp lo had me at 15 literally living in the 60 and 70's. All i'd watch is lets do it again and uptown Saturday night. I just knew I was the 3rd member of the Camp. So my guy brings reasonable doubt over the house and explains who jay-z was and that I should check him out. The 1st track I heard was feeling it I fell in love with that shit it was so Camp Lowish fast forward hova has blown up it's around 99 I'm reading about Jay-z Rise to fame. They mention the fact that jay's cousin Ski was the producer for camp lo and that the song "feeling it" was actually a camp lo song the hook the cadence everything was the camp's. Jay-z heard the track and told ski it would sound better with him on it
@@macadon041 Easy they using old slang to explain situations plus the cadence is so ill and the ride the beat so well you don't even care. But I myself always understood they were using 70's slang
They must have took the other video down., liked this joint better than luchini, this kind of music just give you that good feeling 🙏🏾🙌🏾🔥, salute for uploading.
Who else here in 2024 just revisiting and grooving along? 🔥🎵
Yep!
