I seriously don't understand the thought process behind the actual port of btd6 to other devices. At bare minimum, these ports *should* at least be somewhat close to the steam/mobile version, but even that's not a guarantee. The fact that it's so buggy and laggy, and literally more expensive than the objectively superior version is even more embarrassing Ah well.

4:50 there are sometimes restrictions on Bosses, but they are really rare. Im Steam and Xbox Player. In my opinion this version has a lot of potential. I have 1000 hours in it and almost 15 Black borders with 75% Achievements complete. This game is really good if you want to play with multiply friends at the same time.
It's honestly absurd how low effort this port is in many areas. The fact that they're charging the same amount as two copies of Hollow Knight or be $5 away from a copy of V Rising (incidentally not on Xbox) is indefensible for what was originally a $5 game. Having no cross platform is such a massive downside and I am genuinely surprised BTD6 even chose Xbox before PS because at this point, there would be a larger PS audience than Xbox. 6:25 As someone that formerly constantly ran ranked boss (before least cash/tiers), although my scores weren't the greatest, I agree having the same ruleset for ranked would get really old very quickly. This version is before boss health modifiers were introduced/used iirc so the levers they have for spicing up boss events are quite limited even if they have it cycle between different restrictions. Races having a slowed cursor does actually sound interesting. Having a more chill variant of races would be a nice change of pace if the port wasn't so broken in other aspects, and I'm surprised they pulled race presets from previous races instead of something as bland as BTD6 Xbox's bosses.

As someone who plays weekly on the Xbox version it really isn’t bad at all. Yes the movement is a little weird at first but you get used to it really quick. The lag isn’t bad but you’re spot on the with the bosses! I wish they added more, maybe soon! The other flaw wouldn’t really be anything about the gameplay but rather the pricing. If you’re someone who’s new to the Bloons scenes and seeing the price at 30$ is ridiculous. I feel like no new players would pay this large amount. Ninja kiwi has to do some serious compromising with the deals and price of the game. Other than that the game isn’t bad at all
@@3takoyakis It is not "a miracle it works". Bloons TD has been on non-touchscreen consoles before: the PSP version of 3 and Bloons TD 5 on Xb1, PS4, and Switch (I know Switch has a touch screen, but BTD5 doesn't use it).

If Switch version has a functional touchscreen like on mobile (handheld mode) the lag may not be as miserable because you wouldn’t be reliant on a cursor that all other controllers have to use
I'm one of the boss players and I come back every time there's one to play them with my friend for free monkey money, you've probably seen us on the normal leaderboards
people on race and boss leaderboards tend to submit their best scores as late as possible because its easier to do a run when you know what score you need to beat to get top 3 and have the entire week's worth of collective knowledge, and putting your score up earlier can lead to other people grinding until they beat yours. I dont think anyone would call this cheating or foul play; its just acting in your own best interests and its well within the rules, but I think most people would agree that its generally something that makes competing less fun rather than more fun when a leaderboard has mediocre scores for 4 days and then gains a dozen optimized top runs in the last 10 hours.

I do like the Xbox port a tiny bit because it is somewhat serviceable but why would you pay more for the far worse Xbox version instead of the pc or even mobile version. Also i think the btd5 Xbox port was really good and my favorite version of the game but almost nobody even knows it exists.
I just seriously hate how the balancing of the game is stuck on 32.0 I don’t mind the lack of post 32.0 content, but what I do mind is that none of the simple easy to add balance changes are here
im a diehard xbox fan but like I genuinely don't understand why this port exists, and im assuming that Mouse and Keyboard don't work on it which is just crazy considering how much less annoying it would make the game, and the fact that high end mobile phones run the game better than next gen consoles is just a testament to how poorly optimized it is

doesnt seem like you can. it looks like xbox uses the same BTD6TimeUtil function that steam does, so giving it a false time would require actually hacking the game. (or finding a new xbox bug, which wouldnt be surprising)

Only trees can be targeted with a button. Brambles place in a random location unless a bloon is in range, where it instead targets the bloon accordingly to obyn’s targeting.
