These cars are actually more like the old IROC series and SCCA Pro TransAm series cars of the 60’s, 70’s and early 80’s. It’s what NASCAR wishes it could have been. No restrictions, balls out engines, suspension and brake mods! Beautiful rolling iron!
Nascar needs to get to a "if you can pass tech" you're in model & as much as Ray Evernham tries to revive IROC there's just too much going on today it seems to get fans back 😕 These cars are Amazing!!!
@@cjbecker1683 one of the many tech issues that nascar has itself created is the ‘template’ system. Having read many accounts of how the original cars were modified for high speed tracks v. short ovals NASCAR itself has created the problems that fans are getting angry about. There’s no rewards for innovation or trying to find a better way. Bumper to bumper 200 mph runs might look great for TV but destroying 5-15 cars at once doesn’t make for a great race. NASCAR spends more money and time controlling car designers than most racing series out there, except maybe F1. Many of us witnessed what could be achieved by NASCAR based vehicle at LeMans when the Hendricks Garage 56 Camaro was able to destroy most of the GT3 cars. And they had to do it with real doors, working headlights and brake lights as well as wipers and the ability to run in the rain. NASCAR plays to the TV networks, not the fans. What a shame the direction they’ve gone in. I’m not a huge NASCAR fan, I love sports car racing and older series like IROC, and TransAm. But I was in awe of that LeMans Camaro! Shows what North American racing design can really do if allowed to work with few restrictions.
@@nashidaperv2351 Ray Everham is a designer genius. He was probably one of the last innovators in NASCAR, which meant twisting the rules. Which of course gets pretty old. Dan Gurney, one of the greatest race car designers stopped entering nascar races primarily for this reason. Unfortunately, you’re right. There’s many racing series vying for fans money (ticket sales) and introducing another one albeit an incredible series, would just thin out consumer spending dollars. I recently worked at a TransAm race here in Canada at my home track (MOSPORT) and the cars were amazing. But attendance was not as good as it was hoped. Many younger people don’t know much about TransAm, or IROC so getting them out for a race can be difficult.

Is that in Australia or new Zealand? Go the mopar👍
New Zealand, in this video specifically Hampton Downs Motorsport Park
Track is way too small for this car to really shine.. Bathurst Australia would be the pic… It could really rip! Sounds neat though….
@@musclecars.universe The advertising is a give away... Pak n Save, Horotiu. Pretty sure they're only in NZ. Nice to see a Torana in the line-up too.
Top video footage💪can anyone tell me the intro instrumental that was played at the start of this video?
Which one ?
427 HEMI?
Nah big blocks are not ideal for circuit racing, too heavy and rev low.
I have listed all the build details in the video description
All the modern equipment but running a H pattern trans? A sequential box who be superior for lap times. Maybe the class adds weight penalties if you run that trans though.
What if I told you they have to run at least one layer of leaf springs at the back too? Are you gonna faint altogether? It's simply the requirements to keep it as Old-School as possible without impairing the performance of the car. As an Italian and a racing purist myself I find the manual transmission to be the ultimate form of enjoyment when it comes to Motorsports.
That dash sticker say Kowaliski?????
Indeed it does
What’s the difference between between a Dodge Challenger and a Dodge Daytona please ?
Needs a 1969 - 1971 - 426 Hemi Engined Dodge Daytona with nose cone and big wing and a track other than Symmons Plains Tasmania that can allow a Super Bird to SCREAM its head off at +200MPH, a track like Bathurst.
i cant stop jizzin
Too much information haha
Does this car have any connection to you-tuber Nick's Garage? & is this nick driving it ?
Not it doesn't, we're in New Zealand here bro
Is that trans am class racing cars
Similar but on stock frame and leaf spring suspension, so more like vintage racing with a touch of transam
@musclecars.universe oh they all look really good

good to see something different racing,, i spent 10 years watching fx to ht holdens and valiants, 10 years of hq holdens and mustangs, and 30 years of stinkin 4 door falcon and commodores... that car is too big for a 340 or 360,,
@@stevedriver1476 glad to hear you enjoyed my video!
It's not all about Chevy and Ford a Dodge can run with the best of them
Dodge has always been a force to be reckoned with in NASCAR
@@musclecars.universe especially drag racing in the early days with them kicking butt on the GM& Ford stuff .
Kolaski lives!
Not Bathurst.
Me thinks New Zealand track?
Yes, Hampton Downs, south of Auckland
MoPar you are with us, Or you are behind us...!!!
Trop trop belles ❤😊
HELL YEAH !! ⚡💥🔥👍🤪👍

Freem should cough up some new fingers on his gloves - did he and the Camero come together on that pass?
KOWALSKI!!!!!❤
Voll Genial.❤🎉
I don’t think the challenger was raced in NASCAR was it?
Of course not
Remember Bob glenden of prostock fame he ran Ford's for years but made a Plymouth arrow with a 340 beat the Ford's and Chevy's.
8 grand.. what a sound..
The best ever in my opinion
