  • Alyssa Mastromonaco served as Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations in the administration of President Barack Obama from 2011 to 2014, the youngest woman to ever hold that position.
    She has worked as the Director of Scheduling for Senator John Kerry’s presidential campaign, and as Press Secretary for Congressman Rick Boucher of Virginia. She begain working for President Obama when she first joined his United States Senate office as Director of Scheduling in 2005.
    In 2011, Mastromonaco was included on The New Republic's list of Washington's most powerful, least famous people.
    Established in 2005, the Barbara K. Fergus Women in Leadership Lecture brings women to The Ohio State University campus to discuss issues of leadership and public policy. You can make a donation to the lecture series by visiting glenn.osu.edu/support.

    Would have loved to have heard this discussion, but the sound quality is prohibitive. Shame.
