      Hello, I have just completed my MBA and looking for a career in Business Analysis. I am currently working on my CV. I keep worrying about how to translate my previous experience into a BA skill set. Also, crafting my profile summary is a challenge. I thought of starting out as an intern as i just relocated to London, There is no BA internship opening online. Any tips you can give would be much appreciated.

      Understand, I'm planning to come up with the new video, which explains how to build the resume. But meanwhile here are few key points:
      Briefly describe your objectives and make sure statements does match to the job description.
      Use Business Analysis Terminology through out the resume, to prove your BA Capabilities.
      For ex: Never say I “Involved" or "Participated" in the meetings: try to avoid these terms as much as you can. Nobody cares what you participated or involved in.
      If you DID participate in the daily meetings, then say what you have achieved in the meetings:
      For instance you can say,
      Managed daily workshops, accumulated customer requirements from various end users through interviews and JAD sessions.
      Good Luck!

      Hello sir , I have completed my graduation in the branch of metallurgy, 2016 passout. I have no technical knowledge. I choose the field to become a business analyst. I need to start learning things regarding BA. Some of my friends suggests me to take courses like R, SAS ,SQL and excel.If I complete those courses within a 4 months with high performance, does I get a job in startup companies? What is the approach to choose a company and get placed in it with these strengths (R,SAS,SQL &Excel). Help me out sir with your quality suggestions. To my mail : kiran.career2k16@gmail.com
      Thank you.

      Hi Kiran,
      If you are not interested in coding and do not want to jump into technical jobs... then go with Business Analyst role, it is the best choice for non-technical folks (but still, I recommend to learn SQL preliminary stuff, it gives you more confidence)
      OR
      If you are "interested" in learning SQL or any other coding subjects, then GO for it. I always recommend to choose coding as a first priority.
      Because it is easy to change their role from Coder to Business Analyst any time.
      But it is not easy to change their role from Business Analyst to a Coder.
      Please like and share my videos.
      Good Luck!

    Hello Sir - I have total 9 year of experience in Development side (Mainframe and RPA) , now I want to switch over managing a team rather than just a developer. I did 'Certified Scrum Master' in recent months.... What I want to know is -- There are multiple things related to Business Analyst..
    1) IIBA Org -- ECBA
    2) IIM's , IMSPro-school -- Business Analyst courses then certification exam
    3) CSPO (Certified Product Owner) who is responsible for business /Client.
    What to choose and do ………. and how they all vary for someone who want to act as Business Analyst … Thanks !!

      I'm sure, you have great experience in working with various team players. And that is a good start in understanding the business analysis.
      I see you have good experience working with various teams and that is good. BA is all about procedures to follow, get some basic training about Business Analysis which should help you to be a perfect Business Analyst and down the road you can move your career to Product Owner / Project Manager.

I heard you talking about technical BA roles, but I dont understand that profile very well. Please guide me as to how I can utilize my experience as a technical person to being a BA. Please suggest a course path, as in the certificates I must do, or any degree I must pass for this. Thanks in advance.

    • @myprojectanalysis
      @myprojectanalysis  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      System Analyst role is more like understanding & documenting the coding of project.
      (Such as: How the project is implemented technically or what is the Code source (Oracle or AWS) or Identifying what triggers to initiate the project or Data Procedures or Developing Object Models Diagrams, Tableau Report Generation etc...) If you hands-on with this kind profession, then you are perfect as a System/Technical Analyst.
      Your Role will be, project documentation technically prior to the development or during the development stage to help Developers/coders to follow the procedures to configure the project and making sure all the team members are on the same track.
      CBAP is the certification Preferred for a BA. No degree is required as long as you are aware of procedures and methodologies to Implement the project.
      I'm sure your technical experience will put you in top place.
      Good Luck!

      myprojectanalysis Thanks for sharing the information.. as of now I am not eligible for this.. as of now I have almost 2 years experience of business analysis and my major role is providing functional consultancy to customers and troubleshooting. Any recommendations for me to grow in this field?

      @myprojectanalysis  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I am sure you are doing great Job, and I believe your communication with customers happens very frequently.
      If that is the case, following points may give you more strength and confidence:
      1. Do not agree to the customers statements unless they are part of the Project Requirements.
      2. Do not respond to the questions, with an assumption.
      3. Make sure to take up the action items, and assign them to the respective teammates if required.
      All you need to do is pay attention and listen the customers, be ready with alternatives if you cannot provide the instant responses to the client. And when you are eligible for "CBAP" Go for it!
      Good Luck!

    Is it worth to pursue MBA after working for 2 years as a business analyst?

    • @Rhishikesh123
      @Rhishikesh123 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have perceived MBA to get the job as Business analyst, when you got already the position then its not that necessary. For career advancement you can go for various online courses. Investing two years in courses like MBA and Manipal programs is much risky. Nowadays experience matters most than higher education in private companies. If you want work in public sector then its advisable to go for higher study and prepare for govt. exams at the same time. And finally if the intention to pursue MBA is to become entrepreneur then you are most welcome.

      First, just do some r&d first about the course...then search some better institute for that, not by their name n fees structure bcoz every institute will teach you the same, go for their reviews n feedback, n how many of years of experience they having, r they providing cases after the class n r they preparing u for the interview as well....at least shortlist 5 institute first, then ask for the demo classes first, the take a time to decide whichever institute is better for u.....and most important clear all your doubts from them in your demo classes. 👍

    • @awarapahadi
      @awarapahadi 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Sangeeta Raheja hi Sangeeta, I hope u r doing gud today.....first understand what's is business analyst is all about then understand the difference between business analyst and data analyst and it's very crucial to understand it bcoz more than 80% people n institute will teach u data analyst in the name of business analyst, do some deep study about it......n please never go for online courses always go for offline classes, it's as same as learned from pubg and then applied for army....don't do that I have personally experienced it and wasted 30k, after then I have learned from TH-cam only, done many cases and make fake business analyst certificate, I personally recommend u to go for offline classes it's very much effective.

    • @awarapahadi
      @awarapahadi 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Sangeeta Raheja I can understand that, but in social platform I avoid to share my contact details, it's not safe around here, I hope u will understand.....but u can ask me anything related to it, I will try to solve ur queries. Thanks

    • @awarapahadi
      @awarapahadi 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Sangeeta Raheja hi Sangeeta, I hope u r good today. Sorry for the late replying.
      1. I had practice on anaconda software which is free available on internet, ucanstraightly download it.
      2. To me, it took 1 year completely, bcoz I belong to commerce side and earlier my job profile was sales,so Ivan understand how much difficult it was for me, but as u being to the it sector u will easily adapt everything within 6months easily and yes,once u complete the course apply to the small scale industry first by that u will get familiar with the questions they wud ask in interview and in small industry it wud workload but u will learn lot of things(that's my personal experience).
      3. It depends from which city r u belong to, Google it down "best business analyst coaching centre in your city" go through by their ratings n reviews then ask for demo class but before that learn some basic things about it from TH-cam so that u will ask maximum questions from them.
      Thanks

    • @awarapahadi
      @awarapahadi 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Sangeeta Raheja personally I recommend u TH-cam learning, there r plenty of videos where they r teaching full BA course with duration of 6hrs.....and degree is not a big deal, u can make forged one from anywhere like I did.....personally, I haven't faced any problem till now.....actually in my case I belong to commerce background with zero knowledge of IT so when I was attending my online classes, most of the students and teacher use to speak in IT language, I mean technical term they used and for me it's very difficult to cope up with them and when I have queries to ask, they where like ask the questions after class, and they have always one statement, "u can easily find it in TH-cam or Google as well, if u don't understand then ask me"....I mean, if that's the solution for it then whats the need of online classes, I quit the classes and then I learnt from TH-cam successfully.
      And it's also about the money as well, I mean, "why shud I waste money, when I can learn it from TH-cam for FREE".....I did this online classes mistake, so i strongly recommend u don't waste ur money.👍
