It’s Moana to the last Disney film now because there’s no virus because the tide keeper said so and in the year 2640 that’s when Mickey Mouse funhouse will be will be ending because it was the worst show I’ve ever seen. Why the heck did they decide to sing wiggle giggle?
Definitely not on par with the original (which is one of my top five favorite movies); but after having some time to digest it a little more, I found it to still be very entertaining.
@@gregorymeyer1798 Agreed. I went in not expecting a masterpiece like the first film, and I ended up really enjoying it. People need to stop jumping on hate bandwagons just for the sake of having something to complain about.
I’m so excited to see Moana too next week! I don’t understand why it’s getting all this hate. It doesn’t deserve it! It’s a heartfelt compelling and complex story that we need right now. The songs are incredible! I love Moana‘s bond with her little sister and the most!
SPOILER ALERT: Moana gets a Magic Tattoo on her Left Arm & OFFICIALLY Becomes a DEMIGOD!! Looks like Rapunzel from Tangled & Elsa from Frozen have both got a NEW Competition For MOST MAGICAL DISNEY PRINCESS In Disney History.
Before watching the movie myself I read a few reviews only and they were not looking the best, so I was expecting nothing much. But when i watched the movie I realised it is great, even though it did not reached the level of first movie but it was great. I loved the storyline and everything and the songs and animation everything was great. The new crew was also fantastic, I personally think the hate is so unnecessary.
Agreed, this is why I don't read reviews anymore. That and I usually have different views from those people as I like completely different things than they do lol.
Top things I missed... What was the purpose of Matangi? She somehow captures Maui, she taunts him, sings a song, then lets Moana and Maui jump down the warp gate to get rid of all that silly sailing stuff and just get to the final boss level. Almost like she wasn't really a villain at all, but a fortune teller that knew she needed to hang onto Maui to wait for Moana to show up.
I’ve seen many reviews online, all from non-islander people absolutely hating the movie calling it demonic, boring, walking out the theatre, and expecting perfection. As an islander I watched it yesterday and was fantastic 👌 reason it stink for them is cause they are boring themselves, haters and don't have a heart & soul of a Islander to love the movie, all they do is complain, maybe they need to go watch Wicked and Gladiator which is the worse movie ever
I watched it yesterday, and I was underwhelmed. Perhaps my expectation was too high. The first film is so far the only movie that ever got me cry in the theater, and I was so psyched about its sequel. When I learned of the duration of the film, I was like, they kept me waiting for 8 years, and they just give me 100 minutes? But I fell asleep. I do love this idea of uniting people together, though.
I’m surprised they brought back the guy who tried to flirt with Moana from first movie, I also remember Dwayne daughter didn’t want her own dad do a live singing version of your welcome and wanted to hear the actual song from movie.
Yes there's anything that I caught that others may have missed in theaters like Callbacks and Is Hey Hey Lucky and Maui On The Hook and Maui Pulls A Merlin and New Outfit and Matangi's Voice Actress and Bringing The Pig and Moana-Be's and Princess Moana and The Significance Of Moana's Tattoos
My little cousins and I watched this film today, and their general consensus was that it was decent, but that they'll probably never rewatch it, though they've watched the original several times over.
Watching that movie I could totally see a series on Disney+ about it how different adventures/problems each episode... but as a movie, yeah the story telling just did not work at all. I will say the animation was absolutely beautiful though
By the way the one character loto sort of reminds me of Ivy from Disneynature’s tiger almost a little to me and the actress is just like her as well too how unbelievable is that!
Her mother. Me and my family watched the movie. We think smt is up with her mom since we never heard her story, she didn't stop moana from leaving In the first movie, and didnt question moanas ideas. We think since moana has that "demigod" like power, that it connects to her mom. Just a thought 😁
I noticed Moana’s mom has tattoos around her hand and wrist and I was suggesting to possibillity that she went through a similar ordeal in the past (remembering Grand Matala is also a spirit now) and that she could also be a demi-god in secret and we may see Moana’s Mom and Moana’s little sister and Moana combine forces to defeat the next big villain.
Polynesians have specific tattoos to honor their parents after they have passed. These tattoos are usually in a specific place, like the wrist, lower leg or upper thigh. each marking of the tattoo connects them to their ancestors
Injustice to Matangi like was she freed or Nalo found out she helped Moana and according to her "IF NOLA FOUND OUT WE HELP WE'LL PROBABLY DIE BY LIGHTNING 🌩 "
I’m still trying to figure out how old the chicken is. In the opening of the first movie Moana was what? 2 or 3? Heihei was there, alive and as brainless as ever as an adult chicken. The movie ended when she was 16 or 17 so at that point he was at least 16 or 17 too. Now it’s been 3 years and they’re both 19 or 20. Chickens only live an average of 5-10 years. Either he’s some sort of chicken god or he has natural immortality
@JuanEnriqueFloresJrI just remembered to come back to this video and I thought Moana 2 was good! I really loved the first one, so I had good expectations for the second one! The soundtrack was fun too! 🫶🏻 What did you think? Did you like it?
This movie was great, and the story was good, but it does have some holes in it. Like how there is no true villain to up the anti in the film, also Matangi just disappeared and her story didn't feel finished. The new characters also were fun, but we didn't get to know them as well as I'd hoped. But it's definitely worth a watch.
I am going to spread the word online about how we need to spread love about prequels sequels trilogies spin offs remakes and reboots that we need to appreciate all prequels sequels trilogies spin offs remakes and reboots for how different they are from each but by not comparing them to one another being so mean about them because they are here for a reason
Does Maui like moana ? Because in the sequel her cared for he more than he ever would and he consoled her during her mental break down when she was doubting everything and at the end of the movie he swims into the water to save he, so is it just me or everyone can sense these things ?
I had the feeling that the kakomora who went sailing with moana and the group was the son/daughter of the kakomora leader😂 but maybe I'm wrong and I was the righthand soldier of the leader

Saw it with my grandson-we enjoyed it and had a great afternoon. The music was not as good as the first, and I’m sure I missed a few subtle humor moments, but will want to re-watch it on Disney +. Still confused about Bat-lady’s character and purpose, though.
I knew about the Pua one, the Merlin one, the princess one, and the Tattoo one, i thought Moana 2 was decent to my standards although i see perspectives of a lot of others
Uhh Pocahontas is the daughter of the chief. Because that’s a legit version of a princess. It’s no different than calling female ruler a Queen in one country & an Empress in another. Now Moana & Pocahontas are both daughters of chiefs & are the only princesses with a tattoo .
If you downloaded and watched it from Movie Box, at time youd notice an audience moving in the shadows. (As if its someone moving at the back of a theatre while people are watch the movie in a Cinema. 😂😂😂
The diamond shape in the middle of the island ♦️, looks almost like the bridge between the elements in Frozen 2 ... maybe Elsa wasn't right? She wasn't the bridge? And maybe "ocean" is just the water horse from frozen? It's just taken a new shape over the years?
Elsa and Moana have both died and been revived through mystic forces. Could this mean Elsa also has some similarity in how stacked her health becomes? Maybe different parts of the world and different religions but both are out on a journey. Neither have found love and if they both can practically live forever, maybe Moana's going get her heart frozen and Elsa's going to find what she has been missing? 😮
I thought the movie was fine. The story was good, being polynesian, it hit on a lot of themes that I grew up with. The songs were a miss I felt. The first movie had such catchy songs. I can't remember one song from the new film. Goes to show how talented Lin Manuel-Miranda is. I would see it again though.
(Spoiler alert) Tautai: Moana of Motunui. Your noble sacrifice has proven you worthy, in the eyes of the gods. They entrust to you, the future of your people. And, GREAT POWER! ARISE.... A demigod... Can you guys guess the reference?
@JuanEnriqueFloresJrI actually liked it, Juan, and think that it receives too much hate. It's just not memorable compared to its predecessor. What's your personal stance?
Wait is her name In English Moana or Vaiana? I saw it last night in France in English but her name during songs or dialogue was Vaiana. So I’m confused
It’s Moana but for some countries they changed the name because there’s a porn star apparently named Moana. They didn’t want it to confuse the kids so they changed the name for the overseas crowd in those countries.
@@sarahprince2412 yep I just read them. But on Spotify now the song "Moana - I Am Moana (Song of the Ancestors) " - Is called I Am Vaiana. And she is clearly saying Vaiana

How about Moana & Maui "robe wrestling" Flotsam & Jetsam (Ariel) during Mauis´ song "Can I get a Chee Hoo" 🤭
Final cuts???
YOU CAN FEEL THAT THE TEAM OR PERSON THAT TOOK THE RESPONSIBILITY OF WRITING THE SOUNDTRACK PUT THEIR HEART AND SOUL IN IT. GREAT JOB.
10 of the 16 songs are by the polynesian fusion group Te Vaka and/or its founder, Opetai'a Foa'i.
I absolutely loved the sequel it's getting unnecessary hate
Same I just saw it today with my friends, I thought it was good. I don’t get why some say it was boring, pointless, and unnecessary.
Definitely not on par with the original (which is one of my top five favorite movies); but after having some time to digest it a little more, I found it to still be very entertaining.
@KingdomHeartsFan3211 it is on par with the original you are wrong
That seems to happen with the majority of sequels these days unfortunately. People should go into films with less ambitions, just enjoy it.
