When you love someone so much and want to do the best for him/her, you are always thinking two or three steps ahead when it comes to their needs. He was always praising me, saying “I love you so much! You take such good care of me and I appreciate it so much”. Sebastian, being non-verbal, shows his appreciation in his smiles and the way he lights up when he hears your voice. Your hard work will always be rewarded. Bless you!
My Mom had ALS. She passed away in May of 2004. She was 52 years young when she passed away. She had it 18 months from diagnosis to her passing. Prayers for you and your family!! I pray for a cure to this ugly disease!!

I just would keep him at home. Home school him. If you do send him and he gets too anxious or cries he could maybe feel too scared or just doesn't feel the love. Please make sure you can show up without notice to see how he's doing and not being neglected. I love him so much❤

At first they are strangers who don't know know how Sebastian expresses his needs or dislikes. But they'll pick up on that with more time spent with him. I never left my kids with anyone but family- my Mom, sister or nieces so I understand how you feel. Just remember 2 things...they are professionals and if you're uncomfortable about anything, nothing is set in stone! Mom and Dad make all the decisions for Sebastian. I have been an Educational Assistant for 33 1/2 years. My son is 37 and has Cerebral Palsy. I would make up a binder of sheets with what you want to see , read, know about his day. Feeding, toileting, tube, activities , friends, little emoji faces they. Can check of for moods. Happy 😊 sad😔 ok👌 crying 😢 .whatever you would like, to know. I do it. For my parents and they love love love it. Every day you should have the same type of layout for you to write back to school. Both should have a section for what home should know . And, what school should know. And signed by whomever wrote the message. Having a hard copy binder with plastic pouches in it too, things like Halloween cards or pictures can be sent back and forth.

I stayed home with both of my girls so I get your fears. But, he needs time away from you so he can grow his own personality, his likes and dislikes. Hi Stefanie, Geo and Sebastian🤗 I really enjoyed seeing your nighttime routine with Sebastian. It’s so wonderful the way you sooth him when he gets upset about anything. I have a question/suggestion. I know there’s probably a good reason why you don’t do this but I noticed that after you brush Sebastian‘s teeth the toothpaste stays in his mouth and on his teeth. Is there a reason why you don’t rinse the toothbrush and put some water on it and go over his teeth with that to kind of get the residue of toothpaste off his teeth and out of his mouth? Again if you don’t I’m sure there’s a good reason why but I was just wondering what that reason might be. Thanks 😢for sharing Sebastian‘s nighttime routine with us and have a great rest of the week🤗
He is so precious ❤ Have you tried filing his nails with a small soft file? I never liked cutting small nails either. I would be very anxious as well, it will take time to adjust but it will get better. Especially once you see he is being well cared for and seeing his teachers just in love with him. Zeus is so cute. That is so sweet he gets walks by your neighbors. So helpful for you and fun for him😀

You can’t use antibiotic ointment or drops for very long because a reaction to the medicine will set in. It’s possible his eye is red from a reaction to the antibiotic. I’d take him to doctor very soon.

I took him and the teacher walked the kids into the school, my Son looked at my like "why are you leaving me?" I went home and cried alot. Its the hardest thing ive ever done. I stayed home with both of my girls so I get your fears.
But, he needs time away from you so he can grow his own personality, his likes and dislikes.
I promise it will be the best thing for everybody.

Hi Stefanie, Geo and Sebastian🤗 I really enjoyed seeing your nighttime routine with Sebastian. It’s so wonderful the way you sooth him when he gets upset about anything. I have a question/suggestion. I know there’s probably a good reason why you don’t do this but I noticed that after you brush Sebastian‘s teeth the toothpaste stays in his mouth and on his teeth. Is there a reason why you don’t rinse the toothbrush and put some water on it and go over his teeth with that to kind of get the residue of toothpaste off his teeth and out of his mouth? Again if you don’t I’m sure there’s a good reason why but I was just wondering what that reason might be. Thanks 😢for sharing Sebastian‘s nighttime routine with us and have a great rest of the week🤗
He is so precious ❤ Have you tried filing his nails with a small soft file? I never liked cutting small nails either. I would be very anxious as well, it will take time to adjust but it will get better. Especially once you see he is being well cared for and seeing his teachers just in love with him. Zeus is so cute. That is so sweet he gets walks by your neighbors. So helpful for you and fun for him😀

You can’t use antibiotic ointment or drops for very long because a reaction to the medicine will set in. It’s possible his eye is red from a reaction to the antibiotic. I’d take him to doctor very soon.

I remember my Sons first day of school. I took him and the teacher walked the kids into the school, my Son looked at my like "why are you leaving me?" I went home and cried alot. Its the hardest thing ive ever done. He's 32 now and got married this summer. The years fly by so fast.
