Do you find any specific strategies that help him learn? How old is he? I love how you interstate so many sensory activities to give him different experiences. It looks like he is getting stronger.
Hello!! He’s 5, he’ll be 6 in October. Funny you ask about pain! We do believe he feels pain, but due to his brain disease he processes pain differently- and has delayed response. For example, when he’s getting blood drawn, when they put the needle in he often has no response to the needle insertion. Instead, He cries when they put the bandaid on and it’s over!!! We believe that his a prime example of the delay in his brain due to his brain disease and how his body processes things! It’s just a tad bit delayed. However day to day- I don’t think he is in pain. His Therapy is hard work, but I truly believe it’s more frustrating than it is painful. -Not to say that it’s not painful “at all”, because stretching his tight muscles (also related to his syndrome) shouldn’t be painful, it’s just more uncomfortable than painful it seems. He feels pain, but we don’t believe he lives in pain. I hope this helps! Thanks for being here!
We live in an exciting time with so many new technologies and scientific breakthroughs… hopefully more will come about that will help him live more comfortably and overcome the challenges he faces. I can definitely see he’s a fighter. Wishing you guys all the best ❤️❤️❤️

Hello when your son starts to crawl either with help or on his own you will probly cry the reason i say this is because when my daughter Aleasha was starting to crawl she was delayed because she was born with a cleft palate it delays you but anyway she was in a class for her to start crawl and she cried the first time being on all fours it was like a light bulb went off and when we got home i laid her on the floor to play she got up on all fours herself and started to crawl all i could do is cry,she was 13 months old when she started crawling and 19 months old when she first walked so yes you will be one Proud Momma..i also wanted to tell you that you are doing everything right and keep moving forward..sending lots of loves from Albany Oregon

I'm so proud of how far he's come and the challenges he's meeting without giving up. This boy is the strongest kid I've ever seen in my life! He amazes me every single video I see. I KNOW we're going to see him sitting up unassisted, standing unassisted and walking one day! He's too determined not to do all the things hoped for. I've been watching your channel for a few weeks and just subscribed. You and your husband are amazing parents - lot's of love and patience in each of you and I just find this channel so interesting and finding out more what life is like for a little boy with the type of brain disease Sebastian has. Very cool channel and I'm 61 with two adult daughters and a teenage granddaughter who are all healthy and haven't gone through anything like what Sebastian has nor what you and your husband have had to deal with. It's really cool the way Sebastian responds to your voice like some other commenters have mentioned.

In the short time I've been watching I have seen Sebastian come on in leaps and bounds with his physical therapy. It is so nice to see Sebastian so full of smiles and chatting away. I just got a Blackstone griddle too! So far I am loving it. We took it camping and cooked every meal on it. So versatile! Sebastian is doing soooo good. His whole being changes when he is in work mode with the PT. ❤😊

In the short time I've been watching I have seen Sebastian come on in leaps and bounds with his physical therapy. It is so nice to see Sebastian so full of smiles and chatting away. It's also great to see the interaction between Sebastian and his dad too. You and Gio are such loving parents and a true inspiration to us all. ❤

Sebastion is trying out for SUPERBOY! I was thinking that his neck and shoulders may be sore from the way he was lifting his head, and balancing on his arms. It amazes me how awesome he is doing since his last surgery. You guys are the best mama and papa.

I just got a Blackstone griddle too! So far I am loving it. We took it camping and cooked every meal on it. So versatile! Sebastian is doing soooo good. His whole being changes when he is in work mode with the PT. ❤😊

Great that the therapist is working on his right arm. Holding his head up is hard work. That takes a lot of strength working his neck muscles. So glad you’ve been keeping up with gym!
