I was honored to be a participant in the 125th Anniversary Commemoration of the Bicycle Corps in Missoula, Montana and Wallace, Idaho. These ADOS (American Descendants of Slavery) bicycle corps men, wives and children are a part of unsung history. Eric did a fantastic job! Members of the 9th & 10th (Horse) Cavalry Association were well represented at this historic event. Many of us traveled from all corners of America to bear witness and re-enact history. Buffalo Soldier history is infinite.
This was such an amazing find! The content that we need to view and share. Thank you, Mr. Cedeno for your efforts, time, love for people and bicycles, and strength. May you continue to be covered by God with peace, favor, good health, and success.
I was not aware of these amazing men. Thank you for sharing their wonderful story! Their names and faces deserve to be known by all of us. I wish you continued success on your journey.
Now this is the content I am here for. I to enjoy exploring the history of our country on my rides, but yours is much deeper and with greater passion. I am now inspired to seek a greater purpose on my rides. Thank you.
You did the right thing - by going back into time - find out the real story of the unknowns - Awesome, deep respect for you and the 20 unknown men. #hero's
Sir, Thank you for sharing this history. I just found your journey yesterday 10/17/23. I had heard talk of the Buffalo Soldiers. Teeny bit of them. I never knew of the bicycle infantry Corp. Blessings to you for sharing. ❤
Congratulations, Erick, on a road beautifully traveled. I hope that you'll continue to update us as you learn more about the Buffalo Soldiers and their story.
Inspring. Erick's project is a true motivation for my 2-wheeled journey ambitions around Europe. I might not have such a strong, fascinating back story to hit the roads but simple beauty of European landscapes would do. Thanks a lot my fellow nomadic friend. Also hats off for amazing photography and production that beautifully frame this noble initiative
he goes into a lot of detail about his journey incl what he packed on his bike and food etc on his Men's Journal article. Look for his name Erick Cedeño. But its basically cameras tent and food stuff.
You an i have a lotbin common i would like to call you friend at 70 years old i have cycled all over tne us seen things othrt people missed i prefer the speed of descovery
So inspiring, so spectacular the photography, so proud of his goals. Kudos Hammerhead for the video !! 👍 I wish you could share the route he did so we can join the same spirit and perhaps no riding the whole thing at a time but at least by segments and complete it some day. 1900 miles isn't a game, and just @@bicycle_nomad @Mr_ErickCedeno showed us how to do it

All these years and I'd never realised the story behind Bob Marley's "Buffalo Soldiers" song. Thanks for educating me.
