    Finally the summer is here Mick 🤣🤣🤣🤣
    I must admit there is something strangely fascinating about the agriculture scene. Let's hope farming lives forever as it seems some would be happy for it to go.
    Great stuff though Mick 👏🏻

      At last, it's nice to be out in the evening. Been out every night this week trying to get the hang of doing some video in darker light, so far, some good, some really bad😦but I'll get the hang of it one day. Having to force the camera to do things it doesn't want to do, but tonights efforts are looking better. Those damn trains go too fast for low light conditions🤣🤣🤣 I like the farming too and it adds a bit of something different. The advances in farming techniques and equipment is so mind boggling since I was a youngster. Well, I hope our farming never goes otherwise we will all be hungry and the scary thing is, many city dwellers think all our food comes from a factory at the back of a supermarket. Thanks for commenting as usual Ben. Does the new job involve a house move or are you staying put in the best farming county?

      @werringtonjunction Yes you are right about the city dwellers and supermarkets.
      The new job requires no move yet.... which I'm currently pleased about as I'm very settled in farming country which is quite ironicc an ex city dweller myself 🤣🤣🤣. But in all seriousness I love it in Sleaford so won't be going anywhere soon that's for sure.

      Thank you Vincent. Like many railway enthusiasts I know, if it is mechanical and it moves then most take an interest in those sort of things.

    Great collection this time. Pity the 55 could not be relied upon by itself . Nice variations in camera positions and late-in-the-day lighting. The spring barley did not stand a chance with that big Case bearing down. I have never seen that nifty square bale handler before not even on the farming channels in the U S . I might almost say that 66s could be rationed for the sake of some more farming and neighbouring action. I hope that you have completed your winter wardrobe for the coming season at Werrington.

      Thank you Tom for the nice comments. The 55 only made it back as far as Retford on the return journey with electrical problems. The Newark based 47 Thunderbird had to travel northwards to rescue the train so we had two 47's top 'n' tailing the failed 55 and coaches going to Kings Cross. I quite like the darker night time videoing but it is hard to get the correct results, the camera tends to make it look more daylight than it actually is. It would be nice to have some trackside artificial lighting to illuminate the trains a little better. I am from a farming background so anything related to that is always interesting. The bale trailer was a bit strange with the fixed single axle at the front. I quite expected it to swivel but it would probably create a tracking issue. The fork loading was very interesting, most of the ones I've seen in the US are either side loading or front loading up a ramp with the bale lengthways on the ground then turned on the trailer. The unloading is still the same where the whole load pivots backways and vertical for stacking. The thermals will soon be out of the wardrobe, it was quite chilly the evening I did those darker videos. Thanks as always for your interest.

      I know what you mean about twilight exagurration by the camera.There is one on the north elevation of the sailing club at Brancaster Staithe that will persevere to the last before reverting to B & W when the lights on the wind farms off the North Norfolk coast look like a naval squadron regatta.@@werringtonjunction

      @werringtonjunction the trailer collecting the bales is a Heath Super chaser. It means it's a one person job collecting bales quickly rather than two drivers, one on a loader and the other on a tractor and trailer. Quite popular with contractors who move a lot of straw.

    Nice film what a beautiful day! It is a great shame that March to Spalding was shut as there would be no need for freight to pass through Peterborough now. The same for the Lincon avoiding line. Very shortsighted.

    • @werringtonjunction
      @werringtonjunction  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I agree with you about the March - Spalding line, and Lincoln is a nightmare having to route everything over the High Street level crossing. There would still be quite a bit of freight through Peterborough to the Midlands although there would not be any conflicts with the ECML. Thank you for watching and commenting.

    Very enjoyable. Is there an app available for a mobile showing where trains are on the network? I saw someone with an app years ago but have not been able to find it myself in the Google store.

      Thank you for watching. There are a couple of free sites on the internet;
      Tracksy traksy.uk/live/M+23+PBRO
      Signal Maps signalmaps.co.uk/#peterborough:946
      There is also Railcam which I use railcam.uk/ this one costs £30 a year subscription but (to me) is well worth the price as there is so much more information available on the one site.

    Picture quality and editing are top notch but your way too erratic with your camera work. Great effort though enjoyed watching the different traction at this great location . I haven't been in a few years now. I don't think the underpass was complete the last time I Was there.

      @@ThePlushCity At least two are staying temporarily. The rumor is Grand Central will pick up 8 more (so 10 total) of Avanti's Voyagers when they come off lease to replace the unreliable 180 fleet, but that's not officially confirmed and things could change in that time period
