    Can you guess the Eurorack module that inspired this? We will be developing this idea into something closer to that in next weeks video!

    Rad vid. Had a lot of fun making it, can't do t0o much voice stacking on an oldish Mac but tweaked it in other ways using Euclid note repeat with octaves. Thanks for that!

    This is brilliant! I just wish my brain didn’t melt every time I try do anything in the Grid. I’ve used VCV very successfully for years and have a reasonable hardware setup but, for some reason, I just cannot get along with the Grid. I will be following along with this though and will try build it. Cheers man ✌️

      I had this at first, but try to think of grid more like a designer for single modules as oppose to entire systems, this really helped me understand it. The DAW itself will act as your entire system, while Grid will act more like something like electrosmith daisy - I hope that makes sense, and good luck!

    would it be possible to map the X/Y values of those grids to different MIDI messages? so that I can have it hooked up to different parameters in a hardware synth?

    • @DashGlitch
      @DashGlitch  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yep, just send CC messages instead of pitch and velocity etc :)

  • @Italliving
    @Italliving ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Very interesting indeed, just wondering why you add a modulator on the LFO's as they already have one at 9:35 or is it just for an extra visual on the modulation?

    • @DashGlitch
      @DashGlitch  ปีที่แล้ว

      It will make sense in the next video (from yestereday) to be able to merge/switch :)

    MAN, this is so rad. This actually was my solution for a sound design scenario in this audio drama I'm working on. The character morphs into various speaking voices ranging in age, genders (or non genders), accents, timbres and so on. The basic idea was to have recordings of me and a bunch of AI people say the same lines of dialog, but then to drift them in and out randomly. So, I recreated this in an FX Grid on a group track with 16 audio files, replaced the pitch modules with Audio SIde chains and VIOLA! My morphing dialog track will be exactly how I envisioned.
    I only have one question: Is there a means to have modulation sources be randomly selected. Meaning, instead of the standard LFOs, I'm using Curves as I like the more chaotic, organic quality. however, it would be nice to be able swap various curve shapes on the X and Y so it's constantly changing not following a certain pattern through out.

    • @DashGlitch
      @DashGlitch  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That's an awesome idea, and that morphing with sidechain inputs gives me more ideas, thanks!! WRT to chaos, try replacing the LFOs with Random generators, next weeks video I have come up with various "animations" for the movement, including a snake pattern and a ping-pong xD

    How can I enable voice stacking? When I put the modulator it says I have to enable voice stacking in device (only on instruments) .I couldn't figure it out. Thanks for any clarification guys :)

    • @DashGlitch
      @DashGlitch  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey dude, I didn't figure that out, for reference I think that style of probability on values is called "stochastic" sequencing?

    • @Heshamelfakharani
      @Heshamelfakharani ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@DashGlitch the step before that, we were only getting read outs from the y position then you added a 5th merge module and connected the output of all the merged pitches to it, I'm not sure I understand what that was for. my guess is that with each merge module we are cycling vertically in the columns but the with the final one we are cycling the rows.
