Hey Hustle, I'm new to this business and I would appreciate any advice you have from your experience. First, I'm primarily interested in doing original slogans/designs that would be political in nature. All thoughts are welcome. Thanks.
This is a great video. One thing that a lot of people who make these Etsy Tutorials neglect to mention though, is don't do this if you're broke and desperate to make money. With a brand new account Etsy doesn't give you access to your money right away, meaning the customer will have to wait until you get the funds into your account to process the order. They ALSO love to hold a percentage of your sales when your account is under 90 days old and periodically thereafter so there is a chance you could have to pay out of your pocket to ship the items and sit and wait for Etsy to release your money to you. Shipping stuff on Facebook and Ebay are the same way, so these business models do not allow you to have absolutely NO money. If you have some start up money this is a very viable business model.
True, - it’s still technically free but will need some cash to pay Printful while you’re waiting for the money to clear from you sales. An interest free credit card helps with cash flow at the start, as you’re only spending money that you already have on Etsy, so it’s risk free.
I'm looking into opening up my own store on Etsy and using Printful to for the production and shipping of products. However, I'm still learning and was wondering if you could elaborate or if there are links to places that explain these various policies, thank you.
@@hunterios114 how about u get your lazy ass and test it yourself like bro stop wanting thousands of dollars on the first day its unrealistic even if u make 100$ in a month but when it picks up then you'll see that it was worth it

Hey Liam, Great video, thank you ! A few questions if I may. 1. When you write the description of the t-shirt, I noticed in the example it mentioned very good quality. How do you tell the quality of the shirts ? 2. How do I know how much to charge for a T-shirt ? 3. To sell on Amazon FBA there are fees that Amazon charges the seller. Can you tell me what fee(s) Etsy charges and are there other fees as well ? Thanks So Much Liam !
This was really great. Thank you for taking us all the way through this!!! I know how to do it now and will start getting creative. I really wanted a way to find some side income that is not incredibly difficult, but that could possibly generate a good chunk of income...and this is fun and creative!! Thanks so much Liam!! I can start building from scratch now.
Guys, print on demand is NOT free. print on demand requires you to connect your debit card to fulfill orders as soon as they’re purchased. They pull the money from your personal account, and then the funds given to you by the actual customers are released into your account about a week later. So sorry but this video (and all of these “start a clothing line for free today!” videos you see all the time) is vastly misleading.
Hi Forrest - it’s not misleading but I understand you point. Let me try to help. First up, it in theory is “free” or doesn’t require any money to start because you don’t have to purchase the product until it’s already sold. So it’s not like you have to buy stock up front in the hope to sell it later. Most people should have at least a small amount of money to process these orders while they’re waiting for the funds to arrive- but if not you could always use an interest free credit card. However if you do not have money at all and do not have a credit card, there is still a way to do this with no money. All you need to do turn of the integration and process orders manually. So when someone orders from your Etsy store. (You explain it will take a little longer) and you then wait until you have received payment from Etsy - before you place the order on Printful. So yes, there’s always ways around it. Hope that helps
Excited to give it a try!! Your video was very straight to the point and informative. Too many people have affiliate links and keep reminding us to subscribe etc which makes me lose interest.
Hi Liam! I’m new to your channel, but I have to say it’s been helping me out a ton! I was wondering if you have a list of the software programs you use to help optimize your system of creating new income streams, please let me know!
Great information. Thank you much. Question’s 1. Do you need an LLC And what tools can you recommend to find out if the name of the t shirt is been repeat , to avoid copyright ?
If you haven't already started with ETSY (or any sort of T shirt POD business during it's prime - 5 - 10 years ago) don't even attempt to get into it now. Seriously! The POD market is EXTREMELY competitive and well over saturated with hundred thousands (literally!!) of other POD sellers. Don't think you're going to design a few (meaning 40 - 60) t shirt designs and expect sales to take off. Try 100 - 200 designs, before you're even noticed. What these TH-camr are not telling you is: ETSY is HEAVY on reviews, ratings, sales number and paid advertising. ETSY will not promote your products if you fail to meet any of the above criteria. In other words, you can have the best design but if no one can find your product due to ETSY not promoting your products, it won't sell. Period! Unless you have a large (and I mean LARGE) group of followers that continuously buys your product, no one is going to ever see what you've got to offer. You WILL have to do alot work yourself and market heavily in social media to gain followers or build a fan based. The only other way is to pay $10 or so a day for ETSY to runs ads for you and push your product to the top. Lastly, IF and WHEN your product DOES start selling, most people don't know nor care about copyrights laws/copying your design and undercutting your price to make sales for themselves. POD is not as profitable as it used to be anymore.
@@MaPee1982 Thank you for taking the time to explain this. I was already aware of the heavy competition within the POD world, however I appreciate you letting me know the pitfalls of Etsy. Great video, very inspirational great detail all the plus notes , however didn't mention the minus ones, T&Cs charge backs and taxes ,and being able to trade in different countries especially if your are non USA resident. That maybe an entire video on its known
Great info! How much time and energy are you putting into maintaining your sales/shop once you scaled it to where it makes good profit? Is it possible to use this as literal passive income once you put in enough work or do you have to keep spending a lot of time on it to maintain your sales?
This is not something that you can just set and forget. *LOTS* of work, whether manual or paid for, goes into marketing and advertising, in order for your products to even be seen/sold. And sometimes even after all that, your product still won't sell. The way ETSY's algorithm works is, they will only promote listings and push to the top, people who pay the $10 per day for advertisment or people who makes alot of sales. The rest of the results will be buried and never seen unless one is willing to scroll through hundreds of pages.
