Thanks for this Michael, I managed to find spare time and attempted this last week, it was alot harder than I expected and with some trial and error but I got there in the end thanks to your video.
Thanks for sharing this. Helped me a great deal. One thing I found when installing the new regulator was the vertical runners were too long to fit into the door. I had to carefully remove the lower bolt holding the rail from the runner nearest to the lock and pull the bottom of the runner sideways so I could get it over the frame of the door. Just about managed to get that in. WIth the other runner I had to remove the bottom and top bolts, move the runner so I could get it into the door. I then put the top bolt in loosely (while holding the runner by putting by fingers through the large circular hole that gives access to the nut that holds the glass and then put the lower bolt in. The most difficult bit was getting the runner lined up with lower bolt hole. To do this I used the cable from the old regulator, wrapped it around the bracket on the front of the runner and pulled it so the runner became in line so I could get the bolt in. Once the bolt was in good and proper (but no tight) I cut the old cable to remove it.
Totally agree, left bottom bolt was nightmare. What I did was that I screwed bottom bolt without side panel on, then tighten the top bolt as much as I could, so rail was aligned, removed bottom bolt, put aside panel on and screwed in bottom bolt. Next time I will just drill bottom hole in doors to larger diameter and put some paint on it, to save my sanity.
They also sell replacement wires for really cheap, but it's very difficult to replace it cause strong springs and then plastic parts can fail and you would have to do it again. Mine was really cheap, Abakus brand, around €25, looks exactly the same.
I ve installed the panel after the całe snapped but even with the new mechanism it goes up with difficulty Changingbthe Glass position left or right doesnt help Any cure for it?
Witam.
+Paul Lundgren I bought an orginal from the Danish Seat dealer. It can be done cheaper by buying new cables and wheel uorginalt , which I probably would choose if I had to change again, as uorginalt complete set does not always fit properly
i didn't tape it back at the top and remove the regulator it seems to be working fine. i also wonder if you have any idea why my driver side front window is getting stuck. it goes near the top and slows grinding and sometimes will go back down
+Michael Krøse sorry can u explain after u put window on regulator and test do you have to loosen the screws on the regulator arms. my passenger side is noisy at the top i didn't loosen the bolts after testing. can u explain what u did after testing it. thanks n sry to disturb u

Very nice video. Mounting the panel is very difficult.
Yes it is difficult to replace
@@MichaelKroese any trick to align the 4 studs with the panel? They have to go inside and not under?
@@hatzified you can put the arm in where the speaker is removed and the other hole and grab the shone so you can get the position correctly

hello michael why did u tape the window to the top after testing it?

OK, Some prevent the car window to reach the top and it may be the wire or loose slide rails, it sounds like the same problem with my window
+Michael Krøse thank you my friend you've been a real help only video in English i could find.
you are welcome

I cannot get the window to align properly In the door I don't understand what I'm missing
Hvilket mærke rudehejs har du købt?
Jeg købte originalt, men har repareret en for en ven og nøjes med kablerne fra en engelsk leverandør som havde nogle kabler fra Tyrkiet :-)
Hi i need your help 😂 You from danmark?
