  • Mary Winston Jackson (born April 9, 1921 - February 11, 2015) was an African American mathematician and aerospace engineer at the National Advisory Committee of Aeronautics (NACA), which was succeeded by NASA in 1958. She is most notably known for her work alongside Katherine Johnson and Dorothy Vaughn on Project Mercury during the world wide Space Race, which was chronicled in the 2016 film Hidden Figures.

    What an honour to see the film which honours these ladies. Pioneers is too weak a word to describe the women who must have faced cruel discrimination and racism every day of their lives yet managed and succeeded to overcome these barriers and excel in their field of work. God bless you 🙏❤.
