I'll share my tip for enhancing your kicks :) I'm a bit lazy to create a video, but I hope the written explanation is clear. This tip primarily applies to kick drops but can also work with melodic drops. Just take care when incorporating it into your mix. Adding an additional recorded reverb with volume automation (like a curve) will give your kick that extra sucking effect/vibe. It will also add this beautiful waveform commonly seen in a rendered kick and its gonna get more stereo image. It's crucial to adjust the reverb's low cut to avoid any issues with the low end. To make the reverb more "accurate," I separate the punch from the tail, put a reverb on the punch channel with a 100% mix, render it, and then disable the reverb. This approach creates a cohesive feel, as if both elements belong to the same "family," so to speak. I may not be great at explaining, but I hope this tip is clear to everyone :)
good thing i'm not alcoholic otherwise i would have been dead by now lol (knew almost every one of those tips already) still a good recap on things to know to make music, nice video, especially for those who just started
when making kicks, if the sub sounds like sh- or just doesnt crunch very nicely, just duplicate the sub, bit crush it a bit and highpass it so it doesnt clash with the actual bass, you can do this as many times as you'd like for extra easy crunch. its not a perfect method but its pretty good, i like using it.
Hey man! I love making my own shit, but I really want to see you make the shit? Can you make a tutorial about making the shit complete? As in: a tutorial about how to complete a Hardstyle track!
I sidechain the reverb and delay to the actual leads. So if the leads play they get ducked allowing you to have really big reverb without it cluttering the sound. My hardstyle Sidechaining video goes in more detail, lemme know if this helps!
