In sri lanka we have the same culture. Our people get big loans from banks in order to celebrate wedding parties with relatives. Afterwards they get another loan and start building a big house. Sad thing is they have to pay those loans for the rest of their life. Normally 2 million worth car costs around 6 million due to government taxes.

Muslims from southern Sri Lanka like Galle Matara speak sinhala so their sinhala will be better than Tamil. Still they are trilingual. Muslims from other cities will be different. Culture differs in different areas
