Apache Labs ANAN G-2 and Thetis overview

This is a quick overview or first look at the Apache Labs ANAN G-2 and Thetis software. I review the hardware specs as well as the software specs for each of the two items. Also an example of the noise reduction possible in Thetis SDR softwre is shown.

NR2, PureSignal, Multitude of Skins, ESSB Audio 4k up to 8K send and receive for High Fidelity Audio!!! 10 Band Parametric EQ and CFC. Viewing the whole spectrum . Ease of going through the tabs for all the settings. Thetis Software updates that keep improving performance and it is like getting a new radio free of charge thanks to Richie and others. The list goes ON and ON!!!!

Agreed. I just tried Diversity reception w/the G2. The tech in Thetis coupled with the amazing G2 hardware really are fascinating. Still learning, 73!

Thank you for the comment. I love the IC 7300 so it's difficult for me to say that the ANAN G-2 is now my favorite shack transceiver. They're both fine rigs but the signal processing in the G-2 blows my hair back. It's sort of like listening to FM radio when you click on the "NR2" noise reduction. 73!

Thanks for the comment. There is a version pre-loaded in the raspberry pi inside the Anan G-2 called piHPSDR that runs on debian; however, it's got a lot less bells and whistles compared to Windows Thetis. Best of luck & 73!
