The thermals are also good for heat control. The only downside is the battery, it's last mostly 2hours but I am cool with that. I think HP did a good job with this laptop 👑
I have the same laptop. I was looking at replacing this but nothing really much have changed with the newer versions except for the GPU and they are more expensive now so I decided to just upgrade the 16GB ram that comes with it to 32GB plus adding 1TB SSD to the 512GB that comes with it.
What is your battery life? Either while gaming and daily tasks. Also is using this laptop while charging bad for the long term in terms of the laptops duration in years ?

Has anybody attempted the latest (Nov 2020) BIOS update on their OMEN 15. (2020 edition) I have the i7 / RTX 2020, and followed the HP Assistant recommendation to update the BIOS this evening. After restarting the laptop, it would not detect the external displays, so restarted the laptop, which booted up fine and when I logged in, I heard a pop and sizzle and smelt burning plastic. Laptop does not switch on (which I sort of expected after smelling burning plastic). Not an ideal situation for me given the time of the year, especially as I was looking forward to some gaming during the holidays.

I have a problem. I received my omen hp 15, I7 with 16 gb and 512 ssd. And rtx 2060. The BIG problem is it making a noise continuously a very strident noise, and there is also the usual ventilation noise that is less annoying. But the strident noise I can’t bear it !!! What can I do ?

Dear Omen/HP and fellow gamers. This laptop comes with a Synaptics touchpad driver that has something called SmartSense or PalmCheck, which disables the touchpad whenever you hold down a key on the keyboard. This means you can't use the touchpad to move the camera in a game, whenever you hold down, for example, W to move forwards. There is currently no way to disable this feature. PLEASE FIX THIS OMEN! I want to love my gaming laptop, but this is making it difficult :(
Hey , I recently purchased the HP OMEN 15 2020. I found this problem with the laptop that when it’s plugged in (only when he charger is connected to the laptop ) , even when no current is flowing , I get a weird sensation when I run my finger tips on the metal chassis (a buzz sensation ) This problem doesn’t exists if the charger is unplugged from the extension chord (still connected to laptop) Could you please confirm this so that I can ensure that my device isn’t faulty

@@OMENbyHP problem is now solved , I don’t know what happened , it was connected to an extension cable with 2 other devices (none of them were turned on ) , I removed everything and now it’s completely fine. Thank you for responding .
I underestimated its design. I bought HP omen 2018. Its design is great, but its battery is too small, if possible, you should upgrade the battery, not change its appearance. .

I updated all drivers and windows , and when I run any game I got drop FPS from 240 to 50 and it’s stuttering I run FPS test while gaming I noticed the GPU utilization drop from 90% to 20% in 60 70 degree . I don’t know what to do
Thats quite alright.....they can bring back the accelerator with two PCIE slots to attach one INTEL elements and one for the gpu and name that as 10L for the budgeteers

Yes, the OMEN Accelator has been discontinued and we do not plan on making a new one.

Its an amazing laptop but i noticed my i7-10750h in my omen 15 gets to 90C+ while gaming and 70-80 in everyday tasks, any way to fix this?

@@OMENbyHP bought from Costco Canada. Refresh rate wasn’t advertised anywhere and I guess when you guys do that with omens it’s always a 60hz..
