Please god try and get this guy back for a part 3. Another unbelievable podcast. Well done guys absolutely loved this. SH sounds a very decent guy. Must of been amazing being around these pros at euro 96
My first season ticket at City was the season he describes here, brilliant team to watch. Romped to the Division 1 title (now Championship) by scoring so many. Berkovic, Bernarbia, Goater, Huckerby etc. took the piss really. I’ve been going ever since and obviously love what we watch now even more!
For clarification. NORD VPN doesn’t mean you get to watch any game. It just changes your IP address/location. You would still need a website to go to watch the match.
Brilliant Interview. Just hilarious. These Ex footballers have such a wealth of stories. I never tire of listening to them. I can’t imagine that modern day footballers will ever have these sort of stories to relate in the future. Im Sorry, but hearing “Jack Grealish” and many other modern day footballers, being interviewed, they have a job to string a sentence together. where is the personality? Yes there are a few, “very few.” But the sheer number of ex footballers today, all able to relate their stories. Great vid. But don’t think that in the future you will hear experiences like these guys. They are characterless. Plus Modern day Managers do not have the charisma of Managers like Clough, Shankley,Bobby Robson Ferguson etc.
what a lad. one of the last few of the old school generation of players. for better or worse, they're all pampered fannies these days. I'm only 37 but i was brought up watching 60s west ham. stopped watching top flight footy around 2008. i think sky tv/premier lg ruined the character and soul of the english game. to each their own, I'm sure it's still very exciting for younger ppl.
Didn't Haaland retire because of his left knee? Roy hit his right. I think he played the next game for City and the next Norway game too. I think Haaland even wrote a article saying that, that tackle didn't end his career. Awful tackle tho I'd love to hear Haalands actual thoughts on it.
I'm so annoyed that they didn't correct Steve Howey on this and let it play out that Roy Keane ended Alfie Haalands career. Where is their research!!! 😡. Haaland played the next game and carried on his career.
19:40 onwards "Arthur Cox went STEADY STEADY" and I went you can fu*k off an all . and I said waddya mean I'm out 😂😂 brilliant
“Have you calmed down… No!
Are you going on the bench…No!”

Benarbia was out of this world! Every ex city player who mentions him can't praise him enough.

The Fucking Emu story had me crying. And also the Gazza one with his car and the physio 😂😂😂😂
great interview and i have now revised my thoughts on Howey and his defensive skills. top bloke
Best one for a long time
My defining memory of Eyal Berkovic was getting one right in the boat from Big John Hartson. Does his a massive disservice, mind. He was some player x

Good lad Steve 😂😂
Loved Howey at city

Steve Howey starts at 8:40
Hilarious… great podcast
brilliant! so funny
Totally hilarious 😆
Didn't Haaland retire because of his left knee? Roy hit his right. I think he played the next game for City and the next Norway game too. I think Haaland even wrote a article saying that, that tackle didn't end his career. Awful tackle tho I'd love to hear Haalands actual thoughts on it.
Yeah it was the media who pinned it on Keane. I don't think his tackle helped matters but it wasn't the reason Haaland retired.
Finished the game and played an international the next week.
Yeah you are right. It is such a misconception that Keane ended his career with that tackle.
I'm so annoyed that they didn't correct Steve Howey on this and let it play out that Roy Keane ended Alfie Haalands career. Where is their research!!! 😡. Haaland played the next game and carried on his career.
@@kb172 Where's their research? Have you watched the show before?
legend
Howie must of inspired Ricky Gervais with the Emu story lol
Unreal to walk away from the money at the foxes . Not many players do that 👏👏👏
Legend👍
Who's that lad outside walking up and down looking in the window
pure class lol piss break 😆
Ray Thompson the best of the silent achiever:s going forward hope to see him one day and buy him a pint for his great work
Superb 🤣
How there was no comeback legally against Keane is beyond me
