Hope everything goes well! I found Eric when Covid almost killed me in 2020! Spent 23 days in the hospital with no visitation! I watched a lot of his videos while getting well!
I LOVE watching these vids. It's so cool to see the trains, the stations and all the signs, vending machines. Just really makes me feel like I am there.
I am always amazed at seeing different things in different countries around the world. the self-serve produce section where you take the goods and pay for it by placing the money in a box is a really cool concept. we defintely could not do that here in the Caribbean because they would defintely steal the goods and the box if they could which is really sad and unfortunate 😔.
We were in Traverse City in Michigan, USA, a few years ago. Everywhere were cherry stands, take your pick and leave money in a box.....amazingly no one took anything without paying. I am originally from So. Africa. ...that would never fly. ....😅
You might find some of these machines in the bus stations or airport.. but not many. The farmers market is few and far between like those found a couple. Very nice video and still love the scenery. Have a blessed day.

The blueberry cobbler looked more like a baked custard...ie...delicious. That was another enjoyable outing with you, Eric. Japanese vending machines are always surprising me.....and I wish the U.S. had more of a vending culture for us to explore.

Went shopping at Costcos in Georgia USA yesterday. I bought chicken & vegetable soup dumpings that they were givng out samples. WOW can't tell you how good they are. Found a center stand with the food department of many Japanese items. Going back this week will post pictures of what I picked up. My mom every summer grew yellow tomatoes similar to the ones you bought, in a hanging basket on her porch.
selling vegetables that cheap in an open vending machine and relying on trust and sincerity really shows how good the people there, the closest you can get with saudi arabia where even the store are unlocked even at night with 0 worry of getting stolen man love these countries, they raised and taught their citizens well
Eric you are the man, mega cool and an all round nice guy. You should hire yourself out to do guided tours of the vending machines in Japan. The Americans and British would go nuts for it.
I love how much trust they put on people over there. Even with cameras and other forms of security, people could still take advantage and maybe some do. This is just really cool. Like letting you get your own bag, leaving the spoons on the side, etc.

I would have done a full 6 because with those wonderfully pillowy soft sandwiches you get 2 flavors in each package. Also, what an amazing find of getting local produce from the roadside and in that part of the world they still trust people to be decent citizens and pay for what you take without having to supervise. And those lunch boxes are awesome!! What a neat take on getting a meal in there with such variety! And BOSS... you can never go wrong with any of the drinks they make. GET SOME!
Hi Eric great video. I liked all the fillings. Would never have thought about some of the combinations, but must try to make some myself. We have farm shops around where I live in N.E Scotland and they have the same idea of fruit, veg etc and you put your money in a box where you also take your change back from if you don't have correct amount. All down to trusting people.

I am constantly surprised at how good everything looks and how clean the machines are.
I honestly think if/when I visit Japan I'll primarily eat from vending machines because of this channel.
