    This damaged sill came in last minute on Friday afternoon.. the customer wanted the car sold and gone by the weekend with a buyer lined up. I had a small 2 hour time slot to try and make as big of an improvement to the damage as possible!
    No time for filler and 2k primer and my usual methods! A perfect opportunity to try these cheap Chinese PDR tabs and pulling brackets out then! I've been wanting to try these out for ages!
    Simply glue them on with hot glue, then pull them off with a slide hammer or pulling rod to pull out the dents. This sill was tough but it did a great job.
    A quick sand over and some colour and lacquer was applied to finish the job. not 100% perfect... but a HUGE improvement... and the car was sold the next morning with no issues! The buyer never even noticed! Happy days!
    Hope you enjoyed this vid. This is definitely something that can be done on a tight budget and can achieve great results.
    Please check out www.paintgear.co.uk for DIY kits and accessories. Detailing and car cleaning range available also.

    Panel being clean, panel temp and glue temp is what matters. Tabs dont matter. They're plastic. You can make a tab out of anything including wood. Im a collision and gpr everything now. I no longer use a spot welder

      I tried it on my own car and the plastic tabs just pulled the glue off. Any recommendations?

    • @Super_Sport_Marc
      @Super_Sport_Marc 10 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@Richard.E84 your glue has to get up to 375 degrees. Regular glue guns can't do that. You need a 300 watt one. The glue needs to be smoking hot. Put it on the tab, place the tab and let it sit until it cools down to around 90-85 then make your pull. Also if you use cheap glue you'll get bad results. All glue isn't the same. When you apply the glue you don't need to drown the tab. Put on enough to squeeze a little around the edge of the tab. Takes practice to do this of course
