  • Trying to perfect suspension for a radial tire can be aggravating. It’s a lot of geometry, testing, and botched passes. So we’re here to tell you the secret so you don’t have to go through the struggle like we did. This bracket is a key piece in the geometry to achieve better bar angles for separation, weight transfer, and body lift for some radical 60ft’s.

Great stuff. I've got a stock '98 GT SRA and the rear end is the last thing I've got left to do for my Cobra. Thanks for the pointers! Thinking about a 31 spline eaton true trac setup with the braces you've got.

The truetrac is a solid piece for racing. But…if you’re on a budget, the Ford Racing Cobra Posi will work fine for a fraction of the cost.

@@2ndshiftracing I was thinking about having a 3-5k budget for the rear end build. My only issue is I don't have access nor do I know how to weld, so I'm going to have to pay someone to do a majority of the installs. The car is 99% street driven, but I'd like to be able to hurt some feelings on the track once or twice a year. Plus I like the idea of no more clutch packs with the True Trac. Maybe it's overkill?

This was really good. Ive been out of the loop for a while ans when you daid Racecraft a little light came on. I know all the team z shit is legit. I run baseline on my fox body. Always did me well. I like these and might factor them into my rear suspension

The work extremely well. We’ve cut 1.25’s on them with a stick car

Wouldn’t it have been easier to mount the relocation brackets before the bottom brace?
Also why not weld the inside of the brackets?
Not being negative I enjoyed the videos and look forward to seeing more.

Eh…maybe. We did weld it on the inside also. But not by itself cause it will flex and move when put under stress. So you need to weld the outside too.

Have you guys narrowed this rearend with these brackets on it? Or the bracket is too close to the rim to trim any from the outside of the axle tube…?

Yes, shorten 8.8 with 9” ends. Clears wonderfully.

@@2ndshiftracing how much did you cut off each end, and what BS wheels?

@@TomR1211 Think it’s like 2.5” per side 4.5 bs on the wheels. There’s a photo of the red car on our instagram.
