Hi paul thank you for the mention my friend. The search for the infra chain guard still goes on mate haha that seat cover is going to look great mate. such a shame with that last chopper being stuck again i think that would have looked fantastic built up and clear coated to keep the bush find look 👌 keep up the great content mate and look forward to the new project. 👍
Hi Josh mate again good luck with finding a infrared chainguard, have you thought about a few bootsales cos you never know what your going to find!!?? Yes if that bike doesn't sell on ebay maybe keep it and try to clean it up further and like you say clearcoat...... You never know!!?? Cheers 🥂
Wow that's going to give someone a bit of fun and satisfaction if/when it's brought back to life! I'm amazed at the condition of the decals, yes they're faded but still legible and, dare I say it, they look to be the best part of the whole shebang. No that's cruel 😂 - I'm sure there's a gem under there given enough time and effort. Have a great weekend. Cheers 👍🏼
Hi mick I would say it will make a good winter project not that we've had much summer so far lol 😂 someone out there will bring it back to life. Whoever picks it up I will find out what they are going to do with it and let you all know, it was such a shame it was left outside for so long, still at least it lives to bike another day lol 😂 cheers mick and have a great weekend yourself!!
Hey Paul mate ! ..yeah the summer is a non event here too !! It's going to be a challenge but you will get there bro ! I wish I had my old Raleigh Chopper back as I would polish the blighter every week !! ..loved that bike !! all I have now is a GoGo best thang.. I love it ..but it aint no Chopper.. well at least it's electric so I can just sit there !! lol
Hi Andy nice one mate lol 😂 yes apparently you can buy something called the syitch kit and you can turn any bike electric, have been thinking about it for the fizzy but unsure of the cost lol 😂 Have a great weekend cheers 🍻
If the sissy bar is stuck could someone not cut the springs from top to bottom so they can open them up slightly to wrap around the sissy bar then close them up tight? Yes you'd know they'd been cut but it would look ok just for show and in photos. 😊
Hi Phil there's not even enough gap to get the whole spring in as the sissy bar is fully down just like the other red bike, I do like your thinking though!! Cheers 🍻
Hi paul martin.. i see your ebay listing and thought it was the chopper from hell.. it's in good nick, my theory is if the sissy bar went in then in theory it's going to come out again. The gold bars are from a burner. Remove the stem and sell that on. Thats worth &30 and the bars are worth &50 odd. Decent content though, channels doing well, keep up the good work bud
Hi Mike hope you enjoyed your hols. Wow really didn't know them bars are off a burner, so you reckon thay are worth that much even in that condition!!?? Am going to clean up the mk1 brake levers and if the crossover don't sell I'm going to build it back up cheers 🥂
@@paulmartin4971yeah defo. That's a SR stem. Not rare, plenty about, but easy worth &30 to &40. The bars have the gold lacquer meaning they were probably from an ultra or super burner. If they have a V shape then they're V bars meaning they're worth close to &70. Don't remove the lacquer, sell them as is. Remove the old grips, the SR stem was fitted to all mk1 and MK2 burners. Only the high end burners he had suntour stems.. suntour stems are worth well over &100.
Well Mike you are like an ensylopedia mate and I was going to chuck them in the scrap lol 😂. Will put them on tomorrow plus have got other stuff to list having a bit of a clear out. Cheers 🍻
Hi Duncan mate yes just go on to the main Raleigh site they are starting to do spares again including tyres, hope you find this helpfull and thanks for viewing cheers 🥂and to add mate the mk4 parts will fit the mk2.
@@paulmartin4971 Thanks Paul I'll book it into my local bike shop I know the owner, his daughter is a backing vocalist in our local band. The Underground Badgers 🚇

Hi Pauline you cannot buy any mk2 parts new you can buy some Repro but I would honesty say in my experience if you bide your time and pick up individual parts at good prices you could certainly build a chopper for under £400 in my experience if you're lucky, thanks for viewing cheers 🥂
Could you take the bars from the chopper from hell and fit them along with the gear console then fit a front wheel, clean up the seat then sell it as a complete bike, clean it up... Surely then it's a &750 chopper..
You've got me thinking now Mike that bike came with a gear changer allthough it's rough it exists, could buy some rough handlebars, have got the original brake levers could put the bike from hells front wheel on it with original rear wheel and the seat I'm redoing could go on it as well what you think? Cheers 🥂
@@paulmartin4971yeah defo. I'm watching your listing. Remove the bars from the chopper from hell. Make this chopper complete. Fit everything you can to this bike to make it complete. If you can remove the sissy bar then lovely, if not then leave it. Clean up the bike, don't paint it, don't cut the sissy Bar. Get the front forks unsiezed, get it complete and clean. 24 photos, ebay it for &700... It'll sell. Sell the chopper from hell (minus the bars) for &125. 2 bikes gone, &900 in your back pocket including the bmx bars...
