If you see this comment means you are looking into improving yourself 🤗 so proud 💁‍♀️💃
As a certified personal trainer just wanted to mention it is encouraged for you to do cardio some sort of warm up 5-10 before stretching. Look up some warm up stretches enough to get the blood pumping.
*This is to help you not injure yourself stretching on cold muscles* 🥶 and make it easier 💃💃💃💯 LET'S GET THIS GIRLS you got this 💪

If you could share with us a good TH-cam video (link) would be great because I don't know which one could be great :(

    • @robisonsn2
      @robisonsn2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

@@nikienhypen6334 Part of it, is similar to working out, you want to warm up the muscles before working out. Shorter in and out ranges of motion to prepare the body to move. But what you're stretching: a lower body focused stretch, in this specific instance matters. (As you could only do dynamic stretching for the legs and not have to warm up the upper body at all.) For stretches like this (static stretching) you want to do them after working out or with some blood flow as it is the *maximum range of motion* . But what you do to get blood flow to the muscles in this case matters a little less than if you were warming up for weightlifting for example.
I usually for simplicity do an actual warm up video like this: th-cam.com/video/CSrBaHX3HxQ/w-d-xo.html
Which will warm up the whole body, as whole body movements generally boost your heart rate more than isolation (only arms.)
Then if I do not feel fully warm maybe do my choice of cardio for 5 more additional minutes (jump rope, 5 min low intensity HIIT, dance whatever.) Environment matters too (as the winter time it generally takes us longer to warm up our muscles than the summer.)
More or more a case by case basis. You should feel warm. Maybe or maybe not broken a sweat, but feel the blood pumping.
      Or
I also really like many Zumba 10 minute warm up videos, as it feels more like dancing to me and effectively warms the body if I am not planning to do any other excercise than static stretching afterwards. th-cam.com/video/N1zTPfkM7f8/w-d-xo.html
Then I go into the static stretching (this 10 min lower body hip flexibility training if I am not doing a workout other than this).
But honestly the 5-10 minutes of cardio to warm up is more about movement to get your blood pumping to prepare the body to more easily go into a full range of motion safely. So do not stress too too much about it 😁👍

Guys, if want to get your splits you need to be consistent. That’s the key. I’ve been doing lots of stretches for a long time, but I wasn’t consistent at all so I couldn’t do the splits. Now, I’ve been doing stretches from this video for more than a month and I got it! I got my front splits !! Like, wow. But I’ve been consistent, I’ve been stretching almost every day.

And another thing, for different people it will come either quicker or slower. The important thing is to keep going no matter how long it takes because the longer you do it the closer you'll get. For some people it will be a month, for me it was about three to four. But in the end I got them, and it feels amazing.

@@sheetalchhaya3954 hey I saw this and wanted to say that on your period, to probably modify these stretches to whatever you can do that is most comfortable and easy on your body during the length of your period. Like for example at the middle split one to just maybe go as far that comfortable and also to not push yourself to your limits. If even modified stretches of this type are too hard I'd say to look up stretches specifically for your period to make it easier for your body! And, if all is too hard or tiring, take a few rest days.

I absolutely love this stretch, I can hardly believe the progress I’ve made. I could barely touch my toes before. I can lay my palms down and I’ve only done this about 30 times. My body now craves these stretches and I feel such release being able to do them!

I just thought i'd comment since i saw results , I started march 7th and i'm actually getting lower to the ground . I missed a two days during that time but that's fine also , just keep going everyday and eventually you'll see results.

Day 2: I can already tell you all that my splits got so much better!! They are closer to the actually splits now
Day 3: I don’t know why I felt like I couldn’t really get much from the stretching today. No difference between today and day 2

    Day 3: 4 pillows.
Day 4: 4 pillows but feels easier.
    Day 5: I'm thinking 3 1/2 pillows!
Day 6: 3 pillows! I also notice that I'm closer to touching my toes and I'm more flexible on my left split than my right.
Day 7: Missed 5 days because new job (exhausted!) buuuut other stretches are noticeably better (I can touch my toes on the left and right leg stretch!).

It only took me about a week and a half to get into my full left splits from doing this every day, only skipping two days. Make sure you take it slow and stop if you feel more than a slight bit of pain! I got too excited and lifted my hands in the air showing off my splits to my friends, and now I've severely sprained the muscle on the back of my thigh. I'll probably lose all my progress seeing as I haven't been able to do it in about a week 🤦‍♀️ Take it slow!!

Thought it might help if I kept track of doing it so here's to all those curious if it worked-
Day 1: Hurts. All I know is pain. The splits at the end destroyed my self-esteem.
Day 2: Surprisingly better. I think my posture just improved. Science can't explain the surge of confidence I have. Splits in the end destroyed me.
Day 3: Sore. Skipped today. Saw a pretty bird tho.
Day 4: Skipped again. Forgot actually.
Day 5: Done. Coffee has never worked as good as these stretches. Did the stretches better this time nyehe
    Day 6: ....
    Day7: .....oops
Day 8: Done. It doesn't feel like I'm slouching. Hopefully I get more regular.
Week 2: Surprised I actually remembered doing it everyday. I skipped once tho heh. It feel like this is slowly helping my posture. Hopefully I grow tall-
Week 3: damn everything hurts. My back? Betrayed me. My thighs? Ouch. Almost a foot and half away from the floor. Maybe keeping a weekly track wasn't a smart idea.
Month 2: Really didn't think I'd come this far :'3
Might be around 4 pillows away from the floor. I used to be 5 before. The pain is real.
    .
    .
Month 6: I’m starting over haha I completely forgot about this
    *insert broken cat face*
    Still 4 pillows away

Ok I'm gonna update each day for a week, do keep in my I do 10min of yoga on top of this and am a former gymnast and now dancer. So my splits are now 5cm away from the floor 2inch. But i want to get my over splits back.
Day 1;just didn't touch the floor.
Day 2; felt more flexible than yesterday, still didn't get to the floor but my bad leg [right] is now equal to my good one [left] also got my back straighter in my middle reaches. (tip do these agains a wall)
    -did it 2 times today
Day 3; got a bit closer to the ground, but my stretches felt less stiff
Day 4; starting to see noticable progress on my bad leg and almost there on the good one. Hope i can get them by day 7 9n atleast 1 leg. Also i will be doing this for 14 days and then continue
Day5; still going strong. I have a mfrench exam tomorrow though, used this as a stress reliever. But in all seriousness, the streches felt way lighter today than they did the 2nd day.also my wide leg stretches are done against a wall to keep my back straight.
Day6; I did it, tommorow is my last exam day so from tomorrow on I'll be trying to do the routine 2 times a day and add in anither routine if I can.
Day7; rest day bcs i wasn't feeling it
Day 8; did them on an elevated surfes to see if i could get it faster this way
Day 9; feeling my motivation disseperear, but we must puch through. So here's the deal;the routine is good and works but, I need a bit of a change. So I think I'm gonna continue till I get them and after I'll only do this routine once a week and do different ones. Because if I don't get motivated I feel like I won't do it at all. 💙Good luck for whoever might be reading this, you can do it!
Day 10; didn't do this but I did do joga and some split practice.
    Day 11 ;skipped
Day 12 ; i feel bad that i skipped it so I just did it first thing in the morning and i will do it again later on.
Day 13; gonna do some extra streches today bcs i really wanne get them om day 14
Ok so were now a month further i did infact get my splits, but a few days ago i tor a muscle and now I'm not able to train anymore
