Crazy to think about isnt it?
Christ had the same feelings, emotions, struggles and temptations that we do.
And He beat it each and every time.
Thank Christ that He did. Because i can't.

This was and still at times is me. I sometimes feel that i may not truly believe in christ if i continue to sin. I stopped smoking weed for 6 months thinking i was free from it. I have been smoking again. This is why i feel i am not a true follower. I know he died for me and He loves me unconditionally. But ther3 are times i question and that makes me so sad. I love Jesus he loves me. No man shall pluck me from his hand.

The assurance of your relationship to Christ is based on his promise of salvation to you when you first believed in Him, not on the absence of sin in your life. Sanctification is tough, growth is tough. All those who follow Christ sin; we don't have to, we're even free not to. But we do. It's a frustrating reality that will only be alleviated 100% when we are absent from the body and with the Lord. 1st John 1:9-2:2 is for believers and relates to what your going through. Also, which of the saints of old ever doubted their salvation because they sinned? I haven't found one yet. Come boldly to the throne of grace; you have a Savior who sympathizes with your weaknesses andd can help. Hebrews 2:17-18; 4:14-16

first of all, you must have the Holy Spirit living within you to be saved. The Holy Spirit is the seal of God, and your evidence you have been Born Again. the Holy Spirit is the key to overcoming sin. We cannot defeat it with our own willpower. The Holy Spirit brings you into a relationship with Jesus. He gives you the desire to love and serve God. He also gives you the desire to pray, and read the word. He is our helper and teacher here on earth. He helps us find our purpose in our walk with the Lord. Without Him, we will struggle, become discouraged, and eventually fall away. So be certain you have received Him, because we need to depend upon Him to make us more like Jesus everyday. When you sin, the Holy Spirit will convict your heart, and will lead you to repentance. The Holy Spirit will give you the power and strength to sin less and less. John 14:25-26
“These things I have spoken to you while I am still with you. But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.

This is my struggle and one of the reasons I keep worrying am I really saved. I came to Christ and accpted Him 8 years ago I was at peace I knew I was forgiven and no longer wanted it or any sin. But temptation came and I fell back into it now im a real mess im depressed anxious and in a vicious cycle of sin and condemnation I cant seem to get back to that rest and real hate of not wanting it like I had at first.
I also worry if im in the parable of the sower I trust and believe Christ died for me but I cant seem to rest in it like I did at first. And that brings the question did I ever really rest in it im just so confused all I want is to grow in Him really hate sin and walk with Him love Him all the right things. The thought I could be His enemy by default breaks my heart sorry for the lon message I just needed to tell someone my struggles and get it off my chest 😔

It is only through the Holy Spirit’s power that we can resist temptation and live victorious for Christ! The Holy Spirit’s power helps you resist temptation and live victorious for Christ! Being tempted is not a sin; it is normal! However, when we are tempted, there is a choice to be made: give in or to trust God. God tells us how to overcome temptation! First of all, trust God …temptation is normal! Secondly, trust God … the Holy Spirit will give us the ability to withstand temptation! Finally, trust God … He will give us a “way out”. As you mature in Christ and learn to depend on the Holy Spirit’s guidance, you will become more and more sensitive to the times temptation is before you. When you are tempted, don’t say, “The temptation is too strong,” and give in to it. If you are abiding in God, the Holy Spirit has promised to give you the power to withstand temptation. Ask for His help! the power of the Holy Spirit is able to lift you out and give you total victory. Choose to trust Him! Focus on your relationship with God, who He is, what He is doing in your life! Memorize scripture, ask God to fill you with the Holy Spirit’s wisdom, hold on to God’s faithfulness … the Holy Spirit will help you resist temptation! The Holy Spirit is the key. That is why the Lord sends His Holy Spirit to live inside every believer upon salvation. He is God's seal of salvation, and our evidence we have been saved. The 3rd person of the trinity. He is who helps us here on earth. You can talk to the Holy Spirit. Pray with the Holy Spirit. Fellowship with the Holy Spirit as you read the word. Ask the Holy Spirit to intercede for you in prayer. You will see a big difference in your walk with Jesus. The Holy Spirit wants to be invited. You are not alone if you possess Him. Depend on Him to help you overcome temptations. When they come to mind, capture them immediately, ask the Holy Spirit to remove the desire, in Jesus name, and it will flee. The longer you entertain it, the harder it will be to avoid. Before Jesus went up to heaven after his resurrection, He sent His Holy Spirit to His disciples, so that they could do the same things that He did on earth. We can do nothing without the Holy Spirit. If you are not certain, you have been changed and possess the Holy Spirit, then simply humble your heart and pray with faith, I repent of my sins, and I turn to You. You said in Your word that if we confess with our mouth the Lord Jesus,, and believe in our hearts that God raised Him from the dead, we shall be saved. I ask You Father to forgive me of all my sins, and ask You to fill me with the Holy Spirit, and take control of my life. Its not about the words, its about your heart. I left a quick video to guide you if necessary. He cares for you, and He has a special purpose for you. Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Will pray for you brother. God knows your heart. Be blessed. th-cam.com/video/qYFWsIvvZdc/w-d-xo.htmlsi=xn0a6Upag66MFTt1

Jesus set me free... I said God, clearly this is a battle that I am not winning, take this from me in your time honor and glory in Jesus name! amen!
and that night, I heard like a loud thought in my head " go and sin no more " and then in my ear a loud angry "NO" ... and the next morning, i had no desire to look at Porn ( i have slide back into Instagram, although this past week or so I haven't even done that ! ) When God speaks, everything listens! ( I was reading the Bible - Exodus ) which is a rather dry read, being that I am not one for reading. I can read, but I prefer to watch or listen - in any case I was reading Exodus , and in my head was this autonomous thought that was essentially mocking/ annoying me because of what I was reading - saying like " isnt this so boring/ isnt this like watching paint dry / blah blah blah blah blah " things exactly like that. And then in my head this loud thought said " ENOUGH! " and everything went silent! I had no thoughts at all, which is weird because usually I have stuff going on up there! my mind was like a clam lake!

News flash! You are supposed to lust for a woman, it's just supposed to be for one woman.
The other side of the equation that any of these pastors will never preach about is the woman living up to her end of the deal in a marriage. Because they know that the moment they offend the feminists, their sanctuary will be empty.

yes, Christians can lose their salvation. If they are living in habitual willful sin, even after they have accepted Jesus as their Savior, and they do not repent before they die. Because those sins are not covered, they can go to hell. If they repent, and ask for forgiveness, then God will restore them back into the family of God. Just because you are born again, does not mean you automatically get a free pass to live anyway you want as a Christian.

@@Outsider4JC I know you had good intentions when sending this, but it will cause many to believe a false gospel.
No a believer cannot lose their salvation, we’re sealed with the Holy Spirit until the day of redemption the moment we believe the gospel. (Ephesians 1:13-14). And NOBODY(including ourselves) can take gods children from his hand. (John 10:28-29)
“Repenting from sin” is a work of the law. (Jonah 3:10)And as we know you can’t mix works with grace. (Romans 11:6)
Saying that only “habitual willful sin” can send a believer to hell diminishes the seriousness of ALL sin. (James 2:10) Plus all sin we do is willfully done. We choose to sin, whether in thought or action. While god won’t send a believer to hell for sin, he will chasten them in this life. (Hebrews 12:6)
I can’t make you believe this but I can point you to the truth. Trust in Christ alone. (John 3:16)

@@FloridaMark1611 they cant lose their salvation if they repent in time. but if they were to die in that state, they could be in danger of being separated from God. I am proof of that, because I was born again, then walked away from the faith for over ten years. I was living in sin, and ignored the Holy Spirits conviction. I knew that if I were to die at that moment, I would not have made it to heaven. But when I finally reached my lowest point, I surrendered my life back to God, and the Holy Spirit restored my faith instantly. And yes, I was truly born again before I walked away.

But the truth is that you can walk away from your salvation. Your salvation is in Christ. If you walk away from Christ, then you walk away from your salvation.
Whether the hardening of our heart comes through difficulties, persecution, the cares of this world, or a naturalism based intellectual pursuit (Heb 3:12-15; Mt 13:18-23; 1 Cor 1:18-25), we can decide to walk away from our salvation that is found in Christ.
We can abandon our Christ for something else (Gal 1:6; 1 Tim 4:1). We can trample upon the sacrifice of Christ and insult God’s Spirit (Heb 10:29). We can decide that the perseverance it takes to be a Christ follower requires too much and stop following him (Jn 6:60-66; 8:30-31; Col 1:23; 1 Tim 4:16; 2 Pt 1:8-11).

You can know right now, in this moment, that you have eternal life.
You need only simply believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God who died to pay for all of your sin. His resurrection proves it, and the moment you believe in Him, you receive eternal life.
John 3:15-18, 5:24 and 6:37-40 help to make it plain. See also Romans 3:24-28. Salvation is a free gift to anyone who simply believes in Christ.

      Heb 12
5 And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him:
6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.
7 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?
8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.
9 Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?
10 For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness.
11 Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.
There is s difference between punishment (in the Biblical sense which entails righteous judgment) and chastening. The third definition of chastening bears this out (although all of them are accurate to some degree, except "punish"):
chasten: "To rid of excess; refine or purify."
punish: "1) To subject to a penalty for an offense, sin, or fault. 2) To inflict a penalty for (an offense). 3) To handle or use roughly; damage or hurt."
NONE of those definitions of punishment apply to how God deals with His children.
So the question is "why does got chasten"? I think you know the answer. It is in the third definition and in Hebrews 12: "for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness".
This is revealed in Mark. Jesus is angry at the pharisees, but why? He's angry because they hardened their hearts! It grieved Him! God doesn't want His children to have hard hearts. He wants the BEST for you! He wants to REWARD you! He wants to BLESS you! He LOVES YOU!
      Mark 3:5
And when he had looked round about on them with anger, being grieved for the hardness of their hearts, he saith unto the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it out: and his hand was restored whole as the other.
I love how Paul puts it in Romans 5:
10For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. 11And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.
Think about it. If He loved you that much while your were His ENEMY, how much more now that you are reconciled, should you have joy in His love, now that you are called A SON? Now THAT is LOVE!
Just remember. A good father does not enjoy punishing his children, but a good father will discipline his children. Why? Because he is a good father!
So, if you aren't being chastised, does that mean you aren't a son? NO! For God is long-suffering! Does it mean you should go on sinning? God forbid! He will discipline His children. Do not use grace as an occasion for the flesh. But DO NOT doubt His promises! You should try to do better. But not to be saved, but because you ARE saved if you believe!
Finally, as far as the oath goes, look to the story of Jephthah in Judges 11:
30Jephthah made this vow to the LORD: “If indeed You will deliver the Ammonites into my hand, 31then whatever comes out the door of my house to greet me on my triumphant return from the Ammonites will belong to the LORD, and I will offer it up as a burnt offering.” 32So Jephthah crossed over to the Ammonites to fight against them, and the LORD delivered them into his hand. 33With a great blow he devastated twenty cities from Aroer to the vicinity of Minnith, as far as Abel-keramim. So the Ammonites were subdued before the Israelites. 34And when Jephthah returned home to Mizpah, there was his daughter coming out to meet him with tambourines and dancing! She was his only child; he had no son or daughter besides her. 35As soon as Jephthah saw her, he tore his clothes and said, “No! Not my daughter! You have brought me to my knees! You have brought great misery upon me, for I have given my word to the LORD and cannot take it back.”
A vow to The Lord is only as binding as it is according to God's will. Did God want Jephthah to keep this vow? I don't think so.
      Jeremiah 19:5
They have built also the high places of Baal, to burn their sons with fire for burnt offerings unto Baal, which I commanded not, nor spake it, neither came it into my mind:
Point is, you cannot promise to stop sinning. 1 John 1:10 basically assures us of that. So ask for forgiveness for breaking your covenant with The Lord, and instead do what Jesus said: Let your yes be yes and your no be no!
God bless you dear brother. Do not let the Enemy bring you into condemnation. You have passed from death to life. Rest in the love of Jesus today and make Him proud! Ask for love. For in perfect love there is no fear. Perfect love casts out fear. Rejoice! Let the joy of the Lord be your strength! Rejoice!

First of all, God has not given us a spirit of fear brother. Do not despair! But let's take a look at what chastisement means, first!

Some people say that you can believe in Jesus as “Savior” but not as “Lord.” That is, you can believe in him but never repent of your sin. You can believe in him and be saved even if your life goes on just as it was before you became a Christian. Or so the claim goes. Some people even claim that if we say repentance is necessary for salvation we’re adding works to the gospel. They claim that if repentance is required then we’re no longer saved by God’s grace alone, but by what we do as well. But what does the Scripture say? Jesus says, “I have not come to call the righteous but sinners to repentance” (Luke 5:32) Jesus told his disciples to proclaim “repentance and forgiveness of sins” in his name to all the nations (Luke 24:47). When the apostles preached in Acts, they called people to repent of their sins in order to be forgiven (See Acts 2:38, 3:19, 8:32, 17:30, 20:21, 26:20). The apostle Paul makes it clear that those whose lives are characterized by sin “will not inherit the kingdom of God” (1 Cor. 6:9-10; see also Rom. 8:12-13, Gal. 5:21, Eph. 5:5). According to the unanimous testimony of Scripture, repentance is absolutely necessary in order to be saved. Only those who turn from their sin, trust in Christ, and live lives that are characterized by righteousness will be saved on the last day. But then is repentance a “work” we must perform in order to earn our salvation? Not at all! Repentance and faith are really two sides of the same coin. Repentance is a change of mind.. Faith is turning to, trusting in, and relying on Christ. Repentance is not a “work” anymore than faith is: we simply renounce our sin and rely on Christ. Since the Bible makes it clear that we must repent in order to be saved, what will happen to those who do not repent? Jesus said, “I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish” (Luke 13:3). Before one repents, there is no concern, regret or determination at all to do anything about one’s sins. Such will cause one to “perish,” if he does not turn. The Bible says that true “repentance leads to life” (Acts 11:18). One is not granted a new life in Christ at the moment of repentance, for there is more that he must do based upon his turn from sin. But one is on the path to be granted a life from free sin when he makes up his mind to repent. God's Word tells us plainly that “the wages of sin is death” (Romans 6:23) and Jesus said, “unless you repent, you too will all perish” (Luke 13:3). On the contrary, repentance leads to life (Acts 11:18) and salvation (2 Corinthians 7:10). Ultimately, when we repent, we are inviting Jesus to have fellowship with us. And when you repent and put your faith and trust in Jesus, He sends His Holy Spirit to live on the inside of you. He is God's seal of salvation. The Holy Spirit works on our consciences, convicting us of sin and righteousness, moving us to repent (John 16:7-8). He transforms us by the renewing of our minds according to the Word of God (Rom. 12:1-2). The Holy Spirit is the key. You must have Him to be saved. Do some research, you will understand. Pray about it. Be blessed

The Bible says that some will abondon the faith. Paul says that he needs to run the race so that he himself is not disqualified. The Bible says that we should not quench the spirit. The bible says to present yourself as a living sacrifice, it is your reasonable service. The Bible says "For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries." I struggled with alcohol. I was born again in 2011. I stayed sober for a while. However, I thought that since I was born again, I would be able to drink and not fall into drunkenness. I stayed drunk for the next 12 years until I finally was rushed to the hospital because my liver went out. God saved me. I am sober again. Now I know that alcohol can master me. Now I know that SALVATION did not cancel out my FREE WILL. Now I understand that you CAN abandon your faith. This is what I did. I still believed in Jesus, but I was calling Him Lord without doing what He said. Luckily, if you are fallen into sin, and are in danger of damnation (which the Bible CLEARLY TEACHES in the verses that I quoted above) you can still come back. But, hopefully you wont be chastened as hard as I was, and hopelly you will not sear your conscience so bad with willful sin that you no longer truly believe, and become one of the christians that "fall away". Unbelievers can not fall away. You are not saved by works - you cannot lose your salvation like you would lose a set of car keys, but you can abandon your faith, and there are so many warnings about that in the bible that if anyone REALLY wanted to know the truth about whether or not you can use your free will to trample the blood of Christ and walk away, you can find it in the bible. Start here. Try and refute all of these in context and maybe your eyes will be open, like mine were: Corinthians 9:24-27, Hebrews 10:26-31, Mark 4:13-20, Hebrews 3:12-19, Galatians 5:4-7, Romans 11:18-23, James 5:19-20, Colossians 1:21-23, Matthew 7:21-23, Hebrews 10:35-39, 1 Timothy 4:1, Revelation 2:4-5, Acts 14:22, John 15:1-4, Hebrews 12:14-17, 2 Peter 1:3, Matthew 10:22, Matthew 25:1-13, Luke 12:46-48, Luke 21:34-36, 2 Peter 1:10-11, 2 Peter 3:14-17, 1 Timothy 1:18-19, Matthew 5:13, Acts 11:23, Galatians 4:9-11, 1 Thessalonians 3:4-5, Hebrews 2:1-3, Revelation 2:13, Revelation 2:16-17, Matthew 13:18-23, Luke 8:11-15, Luke 14:34-35, Matthew 3:10, Luke 3:9, Matthew 24:4-13, Mark 9:43-50, Luke 13:6-9, John 8:31-32, Romans 8:12-17, Hebrews 6:11-12, Hebrews 10:22-24, Galatians 6:7-9, Philippians 3:17-4:1, 1 Peter 1:6-9, 2 Peter 2:1-3, 1 Timothy 6:10, 2 Timothy 2:22-26, 1 John 2:24, Revelation 2:25-29, Revelation 3:10-11, Revelation 3:12-13, Revelation 3:21-22.

You can abandon your faith, not your salvation. If a person ever received the gospel of grace, they were at the very moment of faith in Christ "translated" into the kingdom (Col. 1:12-14). This is because God never saved the body of flesh. Only the spirit is born of God, not the physical person. The flesh "profitteth nothing" from our being "born of the Spirit".
That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. John 3:6
It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life. John 6:63

This is why Jesus gave the apostles (first bishops) the power to forgive sins, which we are taught in 1 John 5:17 that some sin is mortal sin... Jesus also gave the apostles "The Same Authority" that the Father gave Jesus.... Which means that the apostles passed on their authority to their successors, because they were given the authority to do so. Go to confession, confess lusting over porn as often as you do it. Remember Jesus tells us, wherever 2 or more are gathered in His name, He is there in their midst... and that's exactly what Confession is, Jesus there, forgiving your sins, through the priest.
