When it comes to jersey retirements of retired players I think of when “that” day comes……..the day when Michael Jordan passes away……..will be the day nba will retire the number 23. They have to. Im surprised after mj retired they didnt retire #23 league wide. I mean other leagues have done it. the nhl retired wayne gretzkys number 99 league wide. When your number is retired league wide thats gotta feel special.

The dude didn't just have "one FMVP" on a well-built team. He won 2 DPOYs with your franchise, was all-defense for every season apart from his rookie and sophomore years. He came top 3 in MVP-voting multiple times during that stint as well. He was clearly the star player at the end of it.

Jersey retirements are directly correlated to your success with the franchise and the teams history. Blake should get his jersey retired because the clippers never did anything before him even though he didnt do much either he still made them relevant. Lebron shouldn't get his jersey retired in LA cause he didnt really do anything that the Lakers didn't expect him to do if Lebron gets his jersey retired so should AD cause they were equals throughout their tenure.
