    Dr. Gaur,
I'm currently training for CT and studying for MRI registry. Glad I came across your TH-cam Channel. I believe your videos will help me to be a better tech. I have a question about patient hx. I've gotten some flack from fellow employees saying that I spend too much time annotating patient hx. When l list two sentences (type over 60 WPM), I'm told that writing a book is a waste of time and the Radiologists really don't care about this information. So thank you for pointing out that having patient hx is helpful to you and thank you for sharing your knowledge, love your platform!!!

when i was a student rotating on surgery, my attending used to tell me i'd cut the sutures either "too long" or "too short". sometimes the game is rigged and you can't win. i think the trend in radiology is these hx are getting "too short" so I would say most rads appreciate a few sentences of information. thanks for commenting - sg

Wow what an interesting career. I'm a photographer and I have quite a few Dr.s in my family but I'm a new mom and way too old for Med school. I'm obsessed with these videos and learning more about this field. Thank you for these videos!

..thanks for this video......history is vital.....the protocol we follow is to take detailed history from the patient along with review of past medical records in the ct console before the scan & immediately correlate with usg as required.

it's subjective opinion. I never find bad to see that a patient doesn't appreciate my efforts in his health care. I never think what opinion public holds for Radiology, radiologists alike. When we decide to choose residency, we already knew that things like this will happen. To read vast volumes is another important fact I love in Radiology. this shows that how vast is our vision, we are the important part of every health team. If you want to make more money, interventional radiology opens more options to you.. we are well respected among medical fraternity, and this is what we should be proud of ..

    Nice video, Dr Gaur
The problem with radiology is that patient loyalty lies with the clinicians, clinicians are the one giving us patients for USG/CT /MRI.
If we as practicing radiologist explain patients the report in simple terms, referring clinicians will get pissed(out of the fear that patients might value us more than the clinicians) and start sending patients to some other radiology practice.

Hi Dr, my name is Juan, I'm a radiology resident in Colombia, i'm going through my first year, eight months by now to be exact, i've watch some of your videos, they're pretty good. The thing is I feel weird in some aspects, the residence is hard, a lot of responsibility, a lot of pressure, being away from home, be submissive with your teachers etc. To be honest knowledge and learning radiology has been my greatest motivation, but sometimes I feel empty, the lack of contact with patients, the mistakes and imperfections of some of my teachers... For me interventional radiology is by far the best of radiology, and i visualize myself doing it every day, I have a lot of questions right now and I don't want to loose my focus. Please Dr I would like to know I you felt something similar during your residence, thank you!

Radiologist think it seems like a sweatshop for them ?? Imagine how the techs feel. At least you get paid decent money for the crap you put up with. Technologist don't get paid NEAR what they should for putting up with the daily crap they do.

good luck to you and others on the grind. every day is different, some worse than others, but some days are better- sg

Sarel Gaur MD Maybe if you took the time to see what Radiologic Technologists do to get diagnostic images on a daily basis you wouldn't need a TH-cam video to understand.
