So very true. Wifey and I fell in love with Toddy on our first visit many years ago . We felt the warmth, the welcome, the fact that folks really cared for their town and were proud of what’s been achieved. If only we could spread that caring and happiness around the country, or even the world, how much better would life become. Carry On Toddy. Geoff and Chris. x. 🚂🚴♂️👣🇺🇦
What a beautiful film! There is a large arty/creative demographic here too, which is very supportive, encouraging and welcoming. As Mary says, there is something here for everyone. Love Tod! x
We visited in Dec......what a magical and beautiful place indeed.....The Golden Lion was awesome......i fell in love the day i was introduced to Todmorden...
Just watched the incredible Video again, amazing town. As said before my Grantfather was born here. Would loved to receive your Monthly newsletter if possible. Will be most appreciated
It really is a spectacular place. It's perfect in every way. The only problem in this town is how friendly it is. The undesirables from out of town sometimes try taking advantage by stealing from the local shops. This gets swiftly dealt with though, the local Police are very friendly and efficient in arranging their departure from the town. I can't give this town praise enough. All the people do this place a great credit. This is how every place should be in Britain. Thank You people of Todmorden.
My first visit to Todmorden was c1970 to install some computer equipment in the NatWest bank. I since discovered that my great-grandmother was Mary Alice Blacka, a member of the Blacka family of builders in the 1800s. I've been back many times to research my family history and nearly bought a house there, but it was too much of a project.
I love Todmorden - used to visit with school to the activity centre and enjoyed personal visits too. I love bustling towns where you can look up and see the moors just outside!
I've have the pleasure of spending time in Tod with my job, I love it, me and my partner are considering a move to Tod, such a beautiful place, can't wait to be back!
there were actually 5 canal shots in this one, i agree more would have been good but our stretch of canal had been closed for three months for resurfacing so we couldn’t get on it, and its risky flying an expensive drone over a canal yo cant get onto if it should go wrong
Mike Shaw there are so many amazing places in Tod, sadly we couldn’t include them all, otherwise we could have flown over bride stones, Whirlaw, gaddings and more, but we could only do so much
It's a pity this 'MARKET Town' with it's fantastic market traders, now has people working against our market. As is happening to so many markets in NW UK
Supermarkets are out to make huge profits. Our market sells local products, chats and gives first class service. So thank you to the massive impersonal supermarkets. You have inadvertently brought more people into our town that keep our local businesses thriving. xxx
can I pick fresh fruit, herbs and veg for free in NewYork, I dont know, have never been? It should have more to offer we are a tiny market town with a population of 1500 so strange comparison to make
I bet you love going out and breathing in the atmosphere of all the glass skyscrapers. Just like Manhattan. I was brought up there and couldn't wait to escape once I left school. At least it was a city with character then if nothing else.

So great to see such community spirit and enthusiasm, I hope I visit one day
We visited Todmorden last year and loved the people, the town, and the overall vibe. We plan on returning someday soon.
To me it's the glorious countryside and views that it offers. The beauty takes my breath away when I visit.
I Love your town! I've only been once for a gig in the Golden Lion. But I'm coming back in June for a week. Can't wait.

Lovely video. Really enjoyed it. There is also an Art Centre to visit at Studio 1 on the platform of the railway station. Kindness is everywhere.

With the greatest respect, there won't be something for everyone. That place is probably New York.

Sounds like an awful place. Give me Manchester anyday!
