Hmm, I’ve been looking for a way to seal alcohol pens on aluminum. Btw, I really love your speed reading - LOL!
Thanks LOL!! Hmmm... alcohol pens on aluminum.... that is definitely something to Google!!
Hi! Me again, with ideas for sealing your alcohol marker onto aluminum. If you wanted a matte finish, you could try this stuff (Dorland's Wax Medium), but it would be a huge experiment because I don't know if it would melt the marker or not. So maybe a better idea is to try a spray varnish like Rustoleum 2X clear. I just started using this on wood panels and on these journals. (I learned of it from @welzieart YT channel)It comes in gloss, satin, semi gloss or matte (I got the Satin finish). . You can use it on all kinds of materials. How you apply it is key - 2 thin even coats, outside/ in a well ventilated are. I just tried it for the first time last night on some journals and panels and I really like it so far.
Found it works well over dye based inks to seal and waterproof them.
Excellent tip! Thanks so much- I’ll give it a shot , maybe with Inktense pencils or Dr martens liquid ink!
Can you apply the wax with something other than your fingers?
I think a chamois cloth (or some sort of thin cloth that won’t shed and will not leave any imprints ) would work.
@ thanks for the tip!
