You're right we can't change past tragedies but we can definitely create good future. But Indians has deep rooted impact on their mind by the series of loots, destruction of hindus temples and persecutions done by the islamic rulers from persia and central asia for many centuries. Its hard to be forgotten. There are considerable numbers of muslims who are descendents of the Iranian and central asian who are born from the rape done by foot soldiers during their plunderings.
All countries from arabian to persian to turkic has converted largely to islam but India is only nation who can't be able to convert fully into islam by the then invaders. Even today India is hugely hindu state.
