You made easy street look too easy! Great i depth review of the new XPro model and I appreciate you went over almost everything. I had higher hopes for the new forks, seams like ZF don’t really offer much in the way of low speed compression. I’m keen to join you for the next round!
Thanks! I haven't tried the Sherco, I think they would be great but have heard mixed reviews especially about the clutch. These trails are in a state forest south of Coffs Harbour.
Thanks for the great comparison video! I thought the elastomer handlebar mounts might have more noticeably reduced vibration - your thoughts? Have you ridden the dual plug 24/25 300 Race Edition engine? KYB is hard to beat!
Thank you! I'm wondering if on a longer ride I might get less arm fatigue. I've bought a set of mako clamps for that reason to fit to the RR, but haven't tried it out yet. No haven't tried the dual plug - I'm skeptical, but I have heard it is a noticeable improvement. Yeah love the KYBs!
I love the 200 - such a fun bike. I had a 2022. Yeah the Beta wiring overall is very poor. I mean, it's usually fine, but when your speedo starts flashing, or it starts misfiring - go straight to the wiring loom and find the crimp joints that will likely be the cause. Also check the ECU plug has plenty of dielectric grease.
Both of you looked more comfortable on the RR especially the second rider. I thought the Xpro was a bike bridging the gap between RR and Xt but obviously not being the same size with Xpro actually being heavier than the RR. If one can afford the Xpro they can afford the RR.
@@CryHardEnduro Most likely it is the oil injection system. Oil tank, pump, lines and stuff plus half a litre of oil, all the crap inside the carb etc. Plus the coolant catch tank and stuff, the handelbar clamps with the damping system....
yes well said. I was still surprised though as I have a bigger bashplate, barkbusters and a rear mousse on the RR Racing. But, it's not a huge difference, you certainly can't feel it.
Not a big fan of the single fork spring thing. Too many asymmetric torque loads on the front axle. It’s surprising what manufacturers will do to save a few ounces.🙄
I guess its ok if everything is tight - fork clamps, axle, axle clamp. I certainly couldn't feel any twisting. But I take your point, yes. Trials bikes have been using that method for ages, and I think the XTrainer fork is spring on one side too and has been for years? I'm not certain of that..
@@CryHardEnduroKTM have been using the single spring fork for ages in their EXPLR fork and the Sachs on RR Betas have been single spring design for a few years now, at least since 2020. I have a ‘22 350 Racing and a ‘22 200 RR and the Sachs fork on the 200 is horrendous. I’m an average clubman rider but that standard fork is no good for anything remotely fast - the diving sensation you felt on the X Pro was what I felt on the 200 RR, causing the front to tuck in places I never expected and just felt like there was no support. I generally don’t crash that much but I was all over the place on the 200, no matter what I did with the clickers. I’ve heard the newer version on the X Pro is better, but I’d rather have a decent pair of KYBs up front.

Thanks Chris!
Great video, really enjoyed, can't decide on this or the sherco. Also where are these trails

The wiring on the x pro is absolutely horrible. We just got the 200. Dropped to a 14t in the front. Awesome engine!

Thanks Footit. The new XPro is the RR (standard). It's just a new name. I was surprised about the weight, maybe it's the extra foam in the seat haha.
