少し、自分のことについて書かせてください。
9ヶ月前、鬱だと診断された時生きる意味が分からなくなっていました。
笑いもせず、涙もでず、ただ機械のように過ごす毎日でした。なんとか希望を取り戻すためにいろんな応援ソングを聴きましたが、当時の私にはどれも全く響きませんでした。
そんな私の心に唯一光をいれてくれたのはこの曲でした。

ただ背中を押すんじゃなくて一緒に歩いてくれてるようなぐっと押される歌詞と迫力のある歌声に圧倒されて、当時鬱になってから泣くことができなかった私が涙したのを今でもよく覚えています。
そこからは1歩踏み出して精神科に通う日々が続き、少しでも生きる楽しさや喜びを思い出すためにたくさんいろんな場所に出かけて、美味しいものもたくさん食べました。
好きなことをたくさんして好きなものとたくさん触れ合って少しづつ前を向くことができるようになっていました。
今は学校も思い切って変えて自分が学びやすい環境で自分のペースで毎日生きています。
この曲のおかげで今があります、どうかたくさんの人に国境を超えてこの感動が届きますように。

Im the same way, plus, I'm autistic and adhd. I've grown up alone and isolated cause no one in school wanted to be my friend. I was the 'weird' one, the 'freak'. And the only people that were my friends weren't actually my friends, they would mock me behind my back, and make fun of me. That only contributed towards my social anxiety and low self worth which I still face to this day as my 24th birthday is coming up soon. If you're wondering why she's just as much an important part of this song, it's because her relationship with the Phillip guy was looked down upon at the time because she was of African American descent and a part of the circus , and he was white, from a wealthy and very uptight family. if you saw the movie, he drifted away from her because its what his parents wanted, but this song is so cool because she's really telling him she doesn't care about the differences between them.
