I have never seen Patera look better! He lost the baby fat he had in his power lifting days, yet he still retains all the power. Look at his legs! The problem with Tony Atlas, Jessie Ventura, Superstar Graham, Rick Rude, is that they all skip leg day workout. Patera has legs like an oak tree.

I remember watching him do a clean and jerk with his glasses on. Lol. I've never seen that before. But at that same time, he was a beast if ever one existed

340 pounds, standing broad jump, 10 feet 6 inches. Try that sometime weighing 170 with 85 pound dumbbell in each hand.

Patera was a true freak. Not only Olympian strong, but cut the weight and got shredded great physique, he was also pretty nimble for a giant! Only downfall and maybe the biggest: couldn’t cut promos no mic skills and just no damn personality lol. Amongst other obvious things. Anyway true legend.

He also had a temper and that may be what stopped Promoters from putting him at the very top of the Card. He was a big deal everywhere he went and when you think about the era he wrestled in, could have been at The Top of The NWA, The AWA and The WWWF/WWF.

@@charlessavoie2367 My friend, If you were to look up Patera matches from this era, you would see that it was his common gimmick that jobbers are carried out of the ring after the swinging neck breaker. Look up Patera vs White wolf, or Patera vs Lopez 10/1/77. It was not real. I am not saying that accidents dont happen, but the promotion is not going to send out a star to consistently cripple jobbers. Lothario was o,k., whitewolf was ok, Lopez was ok. They all lived to wrestle another day.

@@charlessavoie2367 It was a Patera's gimmick, in that era, that jobbers got carried out on a stretcher. There are a handful of matches with the same thing. I am not saying that accidents dont happen, but please trust that wrestling is theatre. Lothario was o.k. Look at Patea vs white wolf, or Patera vs Juan Lopez.
