Thank you. Is GoPro HyperSmooth Pro worth it for simplicity compared with Final Cut Pro? I am functional with Final Cut Pro but have not worked with stabilzer plugins or what is in Final Cut Pro itself. I have a good amount of cycling and skiing footage. The cycling is very clean, have skiing footage where I need to keep the subject centered in the frame.
If you shot with a GoPro then yes it’s exceptional and worth it. Since it’s a subscription I would give it a month trial and see how you like it. You can also look up gyroflow which is open source but a lot more tech-heavy. I’m not a fan because I just need it to render easy once in a while but if you want that extra control look at gyroflow ;-)
It depends on the footage, but usually I leave it on default and have been pretty happy. Try that first and then mess with the settings. The new version renders a LOT faster than the original so you can iterate and check easier
I have a question? GoPro now offers a Premium + subscription. Is the Hypersmooth Pro stabilization compatible with the phone app or does it only work on the computer? I have the premium subscription, I would like the premium + for more memory in the cloud and more stability in the video quality, but I only edit on the phone, I don't use a computer.
does it matter if you shoot with hypersmooth on or off in order apply hypershooth pro in post? I saw some vids saying in Reelsteady 2.0 you had to shoot with hypersmooth off. thanks. considering upgrading my subscription
It’s a great question! I think part of the problem is the pace of software revisions…development never ends, so they need to latch onto consumers with subscriptions to keep up. It’s good and bad but you don’t own anything like you used to.
I am with you guys! Let's do some software startup for our hyper smooth editor ;p but probably with all of the AI that doesn't make sense. But if somebody here would like to join forces, like this comment or reply ;)

What a pain in the ass. These companies with their confusing subscription models that I need to go to a TH-cam user to explain because the company uses smoke and mirrors to sell it! But thanks. Good job. Rant over ;)
any input on no meta data found? tried a handful of different settings but hyper smooth pro seems to not want to be available for any of my gopro clip.. hmm
Are you using Reelsteady / Hypersmooth Pro? Is it worth it?
Only contractors rent tools on a regular basis and they get a tax break. Stop renting your software.
Bro what a great video! Answered all the questions I had regarding the matter! Props to you!
Thanks!

what settings do you use on the settings part in hypersmooth pro panel?

@@MattyfleischFPV yeah the "new" one is OP :D

Just computer, it’s very intensive even though they’ve made it a lot better. Tons of resources needed to render.
@@MattyfleischFPV ooh ok thanks for the clarification

Generally you’d need it off
shame. why can’t we buy things anymore where things were cheaper, robust, durable and reliable?

100% lol 🙏
I'm confused. Isn't hypersmooth just an option in the gopro?
Sorry! you answered! Hypersmooth and then to adjust things it's hypersmooth pro
Great video dude

Did you do anything at all to the file once it was copied off the camera? It cannot be transcoded or messed with because it’ll lose the meta data
Yeah I'm not down with paying 100 bucks a YEAR
Same unless I’m on a gig and getting paid to use it ;-)

I still have my old paid subscription that now works :) glad we can still use that.
